good luck to them.

what the design-sensitive mac community think of the logo?

lettering/style/concept of the name part is one of the worst i have ever seen.
Not quite London2012-bad, but close. Maybe the same company designed them?

I don't think that they had a lot of time to knock this up. I'm guessing they will modify it as time goes on. It's not good though . . . not at all.

Well, I shall be constructive, GP certainly invokes the idea of Scalextric to me... most appropriate in the circumstances. ;)

Personally, as maligned as the 2012 identity was at launch, I think the concept behind it is beyond reproach, and immeasurably superior to the concepts behind most Olympic identities.

I do agree it reminds me of scaletrix, the yellow looks a bit off. Bet he didnt expect his name on a F1 car 12 months ago.

People are too critical of the 2012 logo. The worst thing is things that are average and dull, and the majority of previous logos were quite bland.

I can't help but feel that the USF1 team is going to be a farce - our own car industry is moribund for starters. Despite that, I'm desperate to see an American team in F1 so I'm hoping for the best.

I don't like what they did with the text; it's too busy with font/size changes...I like the color scheme though.

good luck to them.

it doesn't look good when the logo is going downhill and shrinking too ;)

i too don't like the name... but well.. i wish them luck

the car is not too bad, and it's an interim scheme anyway (hopefully they'll get sponsors.
i kinda like the fluo yellow actually, will make it easy to spot in races (in this regard, it seems like these year all cars are quit unique, now, if they only put big numbers on them...)

any one wants to venture an interpretation on why the AWN is different from the BR?

BR = Brawn Racing mebbes?

Barichello JUST set a lap in the 1:18s range. There's no way that can just be down to running light. Lap record at the track is in the 1:20s

103 laps so far too, so no real problems with reliability.

Just for our American cousins ... ok ok ... just for Lord Blackadder :p, here's some quotes regarding USGPE (USF1) from F1 Racing magazine ...

The Windshear windtunnel was the first step and Ken [Anderson] achieved that. Then, in terms of logistics, Charlotte [North Carolina, where the team will be based] has direct flights with Gatwick, Munich and Frankfurt. And flying cars across the Atlantic isn't that expensive, relative to the cost of driving them all over Europe in trucks. We could even get the cars back to Charlotte after a race before most European teams have driven back to base ... Logistically we need a place for trucks; a motorhome, pit equipment and an assembly base for despatching freight for flyaway races. Ken and I wanted it to be somewhere that would be attractive for Americans to visit. We've had at a place near Bilbao, Spain – where the sportscar team Epsilon Euskadi is based. It's an interesting area because it's in the centre of the aerospace industry and has a lot of composites around there.

it's amazing.
they must be running with some non-2009 specs.
Still, clearly they have a great car in their hands.
itis going to be a very good year for f1, i think.

where are you watching this?

On my computer

Like what? I doubt it. Honda were working on their car since 2007 and the aero parts are obviously legal. The engine isn't theirs anymore so there's nothing to fiddle there.

like is this just a new testing video or where can i watch it?

No video, just the timing screen. There are times available on the internet at the end of the day normally.

Remember this is essentially the same team that should've been thrown out of the World Championship for good, for racing their car underweight. ;) :p

They need sponsors basically... ;)

Name a team that's never broken the rules.

Thanks for that - some encouraging news I suppose...but my goodness the timing could hardly been worse with the bad economy. Being an F1 fan in the US is like being a (real) football fan...most people know and care very little about the sport, even though everyone knows what it is.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with said team, previous form and moderately suspicious speed in testing. ;)

They're light. Not necessarily fuel light, but purposely running the car itself, light... just like before. ;)

If a company like Honda cannot afford to sustain a team without sponsorship... ;)
