I hope claude giroux dies in a ****ing firey car crash. ****ing scumbag flyers, can't beat us, so you take a run at our star player.:mad::mad:

Zioxide
I hope you don't think you going to man handle the Bolts like you did with a bad Flyers team without a goalie;)

Dream On bud...:D

Dude
The only star player on your team is
Tim Thomas...;)

Bergeron had some pretty good post season numbers -- certainly leading the team offensively and is quite a defensive-minded player as well. This will hurt because it brings Seguin into his first playoff game and he's not quite ready. Maybe he will step is up.

The B's match up pretty well against the Bolts. I'm sure this will be a longer series and very interesting to watch.

Nobody around the league ever gives Bergeron any credit. You need to see him play every night to see how good he actually is. He's an incredible defensive player and he is also a 60 point scorer. Plus he is a really good at faceoffs. There is a reason he played for Canada in the Olympics and was taking shifts with Sidney Crosby.

He always leads the Bruins forwards on time on ice, he's out there for the penalty kill, powerplay, and in just about every important situation. Pretty much, besides Chara, he is the most valuable skater out there (not including Thomas). He's also the longest tenured Bruin, a huge leader on the team, and possibly the captain when Chara retires. He's a huge loss if he's out for the long term, and I don't think we can win the Cup without him.

Shark's melt down last night. Did not see that happening:eek: Pred's still hang'n around. Hopefully their got enough fire power to hang with the Canucks:D and where did Rinne come from?;)

And Zioxide,
I didn't see the hit on Bergeron,but Giroux is NOT a dirty player,fifthy yes:cool:
Watch out for Stamkos dude;););)

Good Luck :D

Peace

robo.....I saw it happening. The Wings aren't done, and neither are the Preds. The Sharks and Canucks looked like they lost a lot of confidence at the end of both of those games on the weekend.

I think it's pretty funny how every other team has dirty players except for the team that you cheer for. Seems to be a lot of that going around this season. :p
I don't think Boston or Philly fans get to accuse each other's teams of anything.;)

oh come on.. if one of the philly guys would have took a run at marchand or thornton i would have kinda got it... they are guys that walk that fine line all the time.

but bergeron???? thats just ********.

One of the CSNNE guys talked to Bergy's agent this morning and he said that Bergy was in good spirits, which is a good sign. I really hope one of those western series goes 7 so Game 1 will be on Saturday night. The extra days will be key.

I witnessed it first hand. It was down hill once Heatley took the penalty after we scored to make it 3-1.

I want to give my two cents about JR's comments after the game. I personally do not think he was out of line or off-base. In fact, I agree with him. Marleau has been invisible and ineffective and has not really shown any kind of passion at all. This has gone on for several years and Marleau has repeatedly failed to deliver when it matters.

People may say that he was trying to boost his TV persona, but I really do not know how else to explain Marleau not doing anything. Datsyuk had three assists with one hand. Franzen played nearly the entire game on one leg. Zetterberg has only played 5 games and has found his groove, so while injury may explain it, its not an excuse. If Marleau wants to disprove the accusation, then he should show that he is not gutless and show us why he is supposedly one of our best players.

Isn't that a euphemism for "not going to play." Otherwise you would think he would say something a bit more agressive like "looking forward to getting back on the ice" / etc... though maybe he did and even that is really content free. I'm not expecting that we'll see him unfortunately.

Does it work that way? I would have thought that the schedules were basically fixed at this point. Last year both conference finals started on Sunday though I have no idea how long the prior rounds were. But - I have no idea how this works overall.

the way it works, is that each series can possibly end on a certain day, so when ever a series is won in 4 games, 5, 6, or 7. Earliest is game 4, latest is game 7 (obviously). The next round usually starts two days after the last game of the previous round....

Thanks for the info. Last night I read somewhere that Boston is preparing for a Thursday or Saturday start at this point and that a Saturday/Monday first 2 games would be painful introducing another long delay because Tampa has Disney on Ice scheduled May 19-22... I guess they didn't expect to be playing in May ;)

I guess if the Sharks finish tonight then it could be a Thursday start for everyone. Congrats Canucks fans.

I think that's how it works for all rounds except for the final series. IIRC, there was almost a week in between the semifinals and the final series because NBC wanted a weekend start.

I just looked it up: The semifinals ended on May 23rd (4 game series) and 24th (5 game series), and game 1 of the finals started on May 29th. They waited 5 days to start. I remember thinking at the time that they really deflated the momentum of the playoffs by waiting that long.

And without getting into an off-topic debate, I just wanted to say good for Sean Avery.

I can't support those glasses though :(

Big vote in Glendale to put another $25 million into the sinking Coyotes' ship to keep them in Phoenix for another year. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=365255

I know Atlanta's owners want to sell the Thrashers to True North. If this passes (which it probably will), I wonder if the NHL will finally give the sale the green light.

Bruins start Saturday with game 2 on Tuesday according to this article.

I'll at least get to go to one game before heading to Korea next Monday. I ordered a Slingbox as well -- I hope that solved my place-shifting woes while on the road.

Then I'll just need to ignore you clowns for a few days at a time while I catch up :p
