I agree.

With that stupid Vancouver regular season record, they should have just saved us all heartache and given them the dang Stanley Cup back then. Vancouver plays like they want to sweep the next opponent which they could conceivably do.

I am proud of the San Jose Sharks.

It is hard to be proud of a team that consistently fails to perform when it matters. It is hard to be proud of a team that can beat Detroit two years in a row, only to fall apart after. It is hard to be proud when we keep hearing that they have learned and that we won't accept anything less.

I think I am just sick and tired of having hopes and dreams dashed because of self destruction-I could deal with heart ache-it at least shows an effort was made. What I am seeing and have seen is a team that just falls apart when it matters.

I am going to try and watch-I only hope that I can stand it.

^^^^I feel your pain, brotha. It's like they forget to turn their power switches from low to high before the game.....

The Bolts can't expect to win if they only score one goal. They'd better start watching some tape of games 1,2, and 4 with the hope that it'll remind them how.

I still think that Thomas' save on Bauchemin earlier in the season was better than the save on Downie in the 3rd period.......

I have been thinking about something-should both series end with their current leader, how would the overal ratings be for a Canada/US cup final ? I think if Boston is involved, they will be ok-not great but ok. If however, Tampa can win, then I think the ratings will tank-yet a Nucks/Bolts final would be INSANE!

Of course, if hell freezes over and we get a Tampa/San Jose final-the ratings will be atrocious-though if I were a Thrashers fan, I am at my local church praying for it, since it could vindicate that hockey can work in other markets.

TIMMY!!!!!!

Yeh, the Bruins basically shut down the Lecavalier line in the second and third giving them no time and space;) And that Thomas stick save on Downie was sick:D But then again it was Downie.St.Louis would have buried it.

Ugly, ugly goal off the stanchion. But we'll take it. :D Canucks, baby! Stanley Cup bound!

I mean this with the upmost sincerity and honesty-not mocking or sarcasm-genuine sportsmanship-

congratulations Canucks fans-you guys earned this-you worked harder this entire series and were simply the better team and deserve to move on.

And now for my final rant about my boys (till after the finals that is)-

Say what you want about the tying goal that may or may not have hit a twin in the head-and you can argue about whatever trajectory the puck took for the winner-we lost this series because we didn't show up in game 4-that simple. Had we tied the series, this game while would be devastating, would not have us searching for tee times and answers.

I hope this eats them up all year and makes them all want to vomit-I hope this replays in their heads over and over until camp. I say this every year and I will say it again; maybe they now finally realize what it takes to win.

Sorry, cuestakid, but I have a feeling you were expecting them to lose at some point. Just unreal. What a way to go.

Both the tying goal and the winning goal were controversial.

The icing call that led to the faceoff in the Sharks zone was a miscall. It wasn't icing because the puck bounced off of a Canuck on the way down the ice. However, the refs missed that, so icing was called. If that faceoff wasn't there, the game probably would have been over as a Sharks win.

Obviously, the winning goal was one of the weirder ones I've ever seen. However, it was a good goal. Bieksa was just in the right place at the right time.

Congrats to the Canucks. :)

If the Bolts make the finals, then go Bolts. If the Bruins make the finals, then go Canucks (see, it's possible for a guy from Toronto to cheer for the Canucks.....the stars just need to align exactly right). :p:D

Well, I don't care at this point as long as the Bruins don't get the cup. Sorry, Boston.

seriously? we have waited 40 years for a chance at this. you had your chance last year. no respect for a fellow original six club?

i was 2 years old the last time my b's played in the finals.. all i want is to see it once

Hey- we all have our favorites and our not-so favorites. No hard feelings. Good luck, but Surely and I are in agreement.

I'm glad Tampa won. I can't stand the Bruins. Just a bunch of goons. Horton was acting like a big shot at the end of the game (Once again) ... Throwing punches with his gloves on... He'd get knocked out if he tried to fight Thompson.

And near the end of the second, Lucic was cross checking guys that were already laying on the ice. A pure goon.

Vancouver for the cup!

Agreed. I do not like the Bruins at all. Chara especially. Karma is a bitch who takes no prisoners. iApples, you owe me a PM. I need help with some goalie mental stuff. Thanks in advance. :)

So it's a cross-continental final then, hopefully. June ice hockey in Tampa, mmmm.....

It's not over yet.....there's still a game 7 to be played.

Pretty cheap of Lucic to make that hit well after the final buzzer.

I thought it was pretty funny when Krejci got popped in the head with one of those mini tennis rackets(?) as he was skating to the bench. Perfect timing by the cameraman! That being said, the fans are pretty stupid for throwing those on the ice.....could be dangerous.

Marty St. Louis = amazing.

Then let's hope Tampa Bay wins. ;) I love hockey, but I do not want to see it played like the Bruins play it.

So I decided to look up the travel distance that the Canucks would have to travel. Going to Tampa Bay is an extra thousand miles than it is to Boston-so it looks like they have two reasons to go (other one being that apparently the Bruins have not killed a PP on the road this year)

To all- after learning to play hockey over the last year, I just have to say this: It is a super-human sport. It's tougher than anything I have ever done. If any of you who have not done this before decide to do it, you will become part of a group of human beings who are brave, fair, loving, helpful, determined and some of the best people you will ever meet in your life. I am honored to be able to be a part of this sport. It is beyond special. It is life-changing. It has certainly made me a better person. It's changed me in ways I can't express.

So whoever gets the cup, they will deserve it. Hockey is difficult, probably the most difficult sport there is.

Kudos to whoever gets the cup. I can't do it. So whoever can gets my thumbs up.

Ok, rant over. Back to playoff talk. :)

hockey is an amazing sport. It is not an easy game whatsoever. First you are taken off your given mechanisms and expected to move about and maintain balance.
The level in which we are enjoying in hese cup finals is truly astonishing. Playing if not, nearly 100 games, hours of practice time, months worth of travel is not for the weak or light hearted. Then to go out there and endure the play of the game is in my appreciation, is the apex of athleticism.

Goalies especially!!!!!

The Bruins will need to pull something out of there lucky magic box in game 7. They need another game 2.
My gut is telling me one team is going to blow out the other. I am hoping I will receive an email saying Stanley Cup playoff tickets for Game 3 at TD Garden go on sale ..........
