My question is how far will OU and MU fall in the BSC rankings this week after both be beating by teams that did not even have any votes.

Gig 'em and Go Frogs. Great day for football today...

BTW, does any team want to win the SEC East or Big 12 South? Good grief.

The East is a shambles, and it looks like the hated Gators will win it by default :(
Would have been a great year for the Dawgs to make a run
Alas, there is always next year

Here's hoping AJ Green chooses to return and make amends for wrecking this season, but I doubt it... the money is calling, and it is more than he could get selling his jersey :(

And FWIW, as bad as as the SEC East and the Big 12 South are, at least they aren't the Big East or the ACC

Yeah, I was hoping at least the Chickens would win it, but like you said before, it looks like they are starting their usual late-season meltdown. I just wanted somebody besides Florida to win it, but it looks like that isn't going to happen. I find it sad that only 3 out of 6 teams from the East have ever won the division while 5 out of 6 teams have represented the West at least once. ( (The lone exception being that school north of Starkville, which I find amusing.)

Meanwhile, the Wheel of Destiny continues to spin in the ACC. Just when FSU looks like they are on track, they go and lose to UNC. Just as a side note: what is it with those ACC divisions? Atlantic and Coastal? Why didn't they go with something logical like north and south?

I remember reading about the decision on the divisions back when we did it, and the primary concern for the divisions were the basketball rivalries. Specifically, the Duke, N. Carolina, Maryland, and Wake Forest teams. They wanted to split those evenly (2 in each division), and "north/south" wouldn't have done that. Basketball was the primary concern (again, so I read), and in fact, the ACC had been wanting to expand for several years before we did, but the basketball coaches were said to be preventing it, not wanting to "water down" the level of basketball in the conference.

My Utes got curb stomped yesterday. I'm not upset that TCU outplayed us (they are dang good and deserve a shot for the crystal), I'm upset that the Utes looked like a completely different team. Bad passes, receivers dropping passes that hit them in the face, complete abandonment of the run game early on...A good defense will always make an offense look bad, but that Utah team that took the field yesterday was a complete stranger to me.

Oh well, now it's time to prepare for the Irish. Go Utes!

Ugh. I think I'm gonna take a week off and go on a bender.

well there is hope.
UT has 1 give me game left.
And then it has to win against OSU or A&M. The best hope is beating A&M. I would say the last 3 games being at home would be a good thing but I think that is a draw back this season.

I don't think this team has any gimme games. They've given up, which is what bums me out the most. I didn't think our coaching staff was capable of letting something like this happen, but here we are. It's 1997 all over again, although this feels worse, since we're coming off such a good season the year before.

True and by the looks of it there is a good change that UT will be dead last in big 12 south. It is going to come down the the A&M game that determines it. If they beat A&M TTU will take that title.
Of course is TTU some how upsets OU then it does not matter.

looks like A&M is going to make it into the BSC this week. OU and MU dropped like a rock after there very sad losses.

Here is hoping OU losses next week at home to TTU (not that I am counting on it)

TCU makes a lot of teams look like that. Utah got punched in the mouth early and completely wilted. It may be that TCU is just that much better, or it might be that their schedule just didn't prepare the Utes to play a team that physical.

Probably right. The Ags are 25th in the Coaches' Poll and 24th in the Harris (23rd in the AP). I wouldn't call OU's loss "sad" (though I know that, as a techie, you can't stand A&M playing well). A&M completely outplayed them in the first half and then dominated the game in the 4th Q after OU made it close.

Mizzou blowing a 14-point lead? Sad. A&M taking the lead on the first play of the game and never relinquishing it? A little different.

OU was out played by A&M. No one is going to argue that. But do I think OU is a much better team and has a deep talent pool. Yes. OU blew it. That game should of been an easy game for them end of story. I know you Aggies do not like hearing the truth but the A&M football program has not been good for years. OU is a better team. Am I glad you all cream them and sent them home with their tail between their legs hell yeah. I like to watch OU and UT loose. Just this year UT loosing is rather boring. For UT it is a question of "Who are you going to loss to this week?" a question we were asking an A&M co workers a few years ago.

UT I think is a better team than most of the Big 12 south but they are not playing very well and it is sad.

MU blew its game against TTU. Looking at the game TTU adapted to MU playing style and MU did not adjust to being hammered and figured out.
MU I do think is a better team.

Your Tech colors are showing.

Yes A&M has been bad for years, but they're clearly not as bad this year (especially since Tannehill took over at QB) as they have been. You of all people should know that after last week (cough45-27cough). And besides all that (and like I posted last week), since Stoops took over in Norman, the A&M-OU games at Kyle Field have always been close (with one exception, 2008). 35-31 OU in 2000, 30-26 A&M in 2002, 42-35 OU in 2004, 17-16 OU in 2006.

Anyone who watched that game with a rational eye would tell you that yesterday's win was no fluke. A&M had twice as many rushing yards as OU, A&M harried Landry Jones all night long, and A&M's front seven dominated the line of scrimmage from the opening snap. Those things don't happen when one team is clearly better than the other.

It's last year all over again. No one gave Boise State a snowball's chance in Glendale to beat TCU. I can't seem to remember what happened...

Thanks for showing up on Saturday, Utah...

I can not WAIT to play TCU every year to remind everyone who the better team is.

Now that the bitterness is over... :)

That Hawaii game was a BLAST! I couldn't believe the weather! Sunshine and upper 60's the entire game. The last home game I had on four layers!

And check this out... I used facepaint for the first time in my life, and I decided to go big or go home! :D

In the words of my wife, I'm now "one of those people..." :D

sadly I see yet another rematch between TCU and Boise this year. God forbid they let them play one of the BCS schools or let them be 1 or 2.

Not likely. If a Pac-10 or Big 10 team ends up in the BCS Championship game, the Rose Bowl will take the automatic qualifying non-BCS team if they are lower than #2.

New BCS looks pretty much how we thought it would.

A co-worker told me that there is a chance(likely astronomically low) that Boise could get so screwed that they would play California in a bowl game.

Has anyone heard or seen this story-I cannot find it. If it is possible how?

basicly only 1 Not AQ can have a lot of getting in a BSC. The others can be screwed out if the AQ have enough schools high enough ranked.

I didn't think the Cardinal would go that high-even though we thoroughly beat Arizona, and Alabama and TCU lost.

That said, I am a little sad that a Pac-10 Stanford could go 11-1 and end up in the macaroni and cheese with garlic butter spread bowl.
