Yup. And my prediction is coming along nicely. Fun to watch but another 2pts dropped from 3-1 up. Can't say i didn't see it coming...at least we didn't lose this time...

Well done Gunners aka Bottlers.

Was watching the El-Classico match during the derby for a long period but realized how boring it was/is.

Iniesta to score the late winner

Edit: ...or maybe CR7

Wake me up when they get to penalties. No - let me sleep, I'll look up the result later. The real El Classico is going to be the CL Semifnal second leg.

Arsenal are ham shank. I'm sick of draws & bottling it all the time. Joke. Wenger, screw the youth, get some experience in There for f***s sake man. Sort your life out & we might win something again!

Harry gets away with his formation.:)

Sort of...Spurs have been exciting this season, at times sensational, but are at risk of actually accomplishing less than they did last season. Unless they finish fourth they will be in a worse position at the start of next season then they were this season, with no silverware to show for it.

This result is really a microcosm of the whole season for both teams. For Spurs, risky, swashbuckling play results in spectacular games, but they are constantly finding themselves behind their opponents and a great fightback to 3-3 is worth less than a 1-0 win. For Arsenal, it's a classic and constant failure to see the game out. At times they play as good as any team out there but you just know they will throw it away somehow.

It seems that many people see the end game for Arsenal's PL title challenge to be the 3-3 draw with Spurs (especially after being 3-1 up) but then it's the North London derby against an attacking Spurs side, it was never going to be so cut and dried.

It's the results such as the boring 0-0 agianst Blackburn when Arsenal played like they'd already given up on the title challenge, going 2-0 down to West Brom and having to fight back to 2-2, and 0-0 with Sunderland. That's 6 points dropped right there!

A better defence would've walked away with the 3pts yesterday. They were the better side for most of the game. Van Der Sar/Casillas would not have given away such a ridiculous penalty.

The team bottles it far too much and far too easily. They should've won the home game against Spurs but lost, won the 4-4 draw against Newcastle, won the Barca 2nd leg match as well as the Liverpool one. But nope defense/team choked in all of them. Losing that Carling Cup final has proven the decisive blow to their mentality. Too jittery. Now instead of "No you won't score" it's "Please don't score".

On another note. I guess Real Madrid's cup runneth over :p

In other news Houllier was rushed to hospital.

...

Spurs just have to beat Manchester City, which will be easy provided they don't supply City with the killer pass.:( One thing that was odd to watch yesterday, Arsenal doing the roughing - as a team, rather than an individual or two.

On Arsenal, has Wenger ceased to be a leader?

Cheers,
OW

There is that, but that means the Man U fans are happy :(

Indeed. And when Man U fans are happy, nobody else is. ;)

The Copa del Rey accident is hilarious - though it would have been even more hilarious if Casillas was the one who dropped it.

As the song goes: we're Man United, we do what we want! :D That said, the title is still up for grabs and Chelsea is truly back in the frame.

I have to say it's totally fitting and appropriate that Sergio Ramos did the damage. Casillas is class, Ramos is a bit daft.

The pundits would like us to think that, anyway, because a month of dead rubbers doesn't sell papers or get bums in seats. I still don't see anything that leads me to believe Utd will fail to win this title. It's mathematically possible, but Utd can probably draw each of the last five games and still win it.

Heh. Cap doffed. :D

I didn't catch that before - well said, daneoni.

Word is that Liverpool have clinched the most lucrative kit deal in English football history, ditching Adidas for Boston-based Warrior Sports – the company are apparently prepared to pay £25 million a year to supply the Anfield club with their polyester rags.

Liverpool have wrapped up a £25m-a-year kit deal with Boston-based company Warrior Sports — a record for English football and twice what adidas currently pay.

Warrior, a subsidiary of New Balance, will take over from adidas ahead of the 2012-13 season and it is expected to be a long-term relationship which puts Nike’s deal with Manchester United - worth £23.5m - into the shade.

The news comes as a huge blow to their current kit manufacturers as Liverpool's shirt is the fourth-highest selling replica in the world.

Around 900,000 shirts are sold annually, a number only beaten by North West rivals United, plus Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Liverpool owner John W Henry had said that the club would only spend money that it generates and with Champions League football at least another season away, the promise of funds will boost the club's muscle in the transfer market.

New Balance, a brand best-known for its running shoes, has been increasing its footprint in other sports for some time now and recently announced a deal with the Boston Red Sox to manufacture their kits.

United's deal with Nike runs until 2015 and the club will be expecting to to negotiate a deal that places them in a higher price bracket to Liverpool.

Can't say that I'm familiar with Warrior – obviously Adidas are going to have to look for another club to give the star treatment to alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and clearly Hull City are the most sensible choice. :)

Fascinating. John W Henry is bringing some business back to Boston, obviously, but it will be interesting to see a new brand in the market. I'm definitely going to have to get one of the Adidas kits now though, before the Adidas era ends. My replica shirt is one of the Reebok ones, and I think it's fairly ugly. I like the Adidas shoulder stripes.

Anyways, it's money in the bank for the 'Pool! I just hope the shirts aren't nasty.

Old Firm this Sunday, I must say I'm not really looking forward to it because I'm a bit worried about something happening to further embarrass the country. Bit of a shame really because it most probably will decide the league.

never heard of them... you'd think there would be a link in the article...

http://www.warriorhockey.com/ and there is nothing on there about soccer kits yet... yikes!

Chicharito scores his 20th goal, he is easily United's best striker this season. One wonders where they would be without him.

Strong win for Liverpool, and Harry Kewell - er, Joe Cole - actually scored. A great day for Maxi, but perhaps more importantly Kuyt and Suarez continue their good form.

Torres Watch: And he finally scores. Great piece of skill too, ball control became so difficult today on the absolutely soaked Stamford Bridge pitch. West Ham played reasonably well going forward and were quite unlucky not to score, but Chelsea did just about enough to deserve the win.
