It isn't easy to win every game, no matter how good you are
Everyone else brings their "A" game at you and you become their "big" game
The pressure mounts each week, injuries, and more, and turnovers can wreak havoc
While LSU is prolly the best team in the country, they still have to play a very good Arkansas team and the SEC Championship Game, which has seen a few surprises in the past (LSU beat a Tennessee team headed to the NC as I recall)
Still lots of football left to play, and any team that blinks can get bit
You just have to stay the course and take care of your own business
The Dawgs were 0-2 and written off by everyone
But they have quietly won 8 in a row
In total defense Bama and LSU rank 1 and 2 in the country
But the Dawgs rank 4
The Dawgs are 2nd in the SEC in total offense behind Arkansas
The Dawgs are also 10th in the country in turnover margin and 2nd in the SEC behind LSU
A team dominated by freshmen receivers and running backs and a 2nd year defense started 0-2 by playing an experienced and hungry Boise team, and gave away a game to their rival
But they have matured, and as evidenced by the Auburn game, they are playing their best ball of the year
They have no shot at the BCS, but they could have folded up and gone home at 0-2
And Richt could have lost his job already
Instead, they have a chance to win the East and play in the SEC Championship Game
They beat Tennessee, Florida and Auburn in the same year for the first time in ages, and they could add Ga Tech to that mix before they are done
They have a chance to win 9 in a row this week for the first time since 1982
It was a disappointing start to the season
But I will take 10 wins, wins over the Vols, Gators, Auburn and Tech, an East Title, a shot at the SEC Championship and a Top 10 finish over last year's nonsense any day
