While my first thoughts last night (and Friday night) are "the BCS just blew up," I can't really continue to say that. Other teams had their chances to move up but they lost.

Sad, really, I would love to see LSU defense destroy Ok State or Oregon (again).

Best possible scenario is for LSU to trample Arkansas, and then for Georgia to beat LSU.

I think that's the only way we don't have an all-SEC game.

Here's my pick on the new top 10

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Stanford
5. OK State
6. Va. Tech
7. Boise State
8. Houston
9. Oregon
10. Oklahoma

It will be interesting how voters place Houston. No one seems to realize they're still unbeaten. Will they be ahead of Oregon and Oklahoma? I just hope we're still ahead of them...

While it is reeeely hard to play a worse schedule than Boise, Houston just might have done it

Yeah, well, we still manhandled you. :p Oh, wait, I forgot about the default excuse... "But it was our first game of the season, we'd kill you if we played now!" ...everyone always seems to conveniently forget that it was OUR first game as well. ;)

I think Houston is screwed no matter who or where they play in the BCS. Whatever team they play they will finally come up against an actual defense, and Keenum's magical numbers will suddenly disappear.

I'm surprised Oklahoma dropped as far as it did. I think OK State should have dropped farther. Iowa State was 5-4 overall, and 2-4 in Big 12 play. And they only drop four spots? Crazy. Now I really hope OU beats them. :)

One thing that can be said about this year is the Big 12 has done a really good job at beating the crap out of each other.

I don't know about manhandled, but yes, you did beat us, especially in the 2nd half

We had a young team heavy with freshman skill players at tailback and receiver
And a defense finding its way in its second season in a new system

Against your senior QB and experienced team with high expectations

I don't know if we would kill you now, but I do think we would play a better game
As long as we didn't have to play in those unis again

The Dawgs have improved a lot over the season
And I think we have a lot to look forward to next year as well

Looks pretty good-
Houston will not be on top of Oregon or Oklahoma. That said, I actually think Boise could possibly get to 5-the combination of Oklahoma schools and Oregon losing might put you back in.

my top would be
1.LSU
2. Bama
3. Arkanasas
4. Stanford.
5. Boise
6. Virginia
7. Ok State
8. Oklahoma
9. Oregon
10.Houston

Sorry but Oklahoma does not belong in the top ten at all after suffering the loses against TTU in Norman and then losing again to Baylor.

Nor should OSU... You don't lose to Iowa State as a top 10 team.

Losing to TTU at this point is much more embarrassing. Goes double losing at home. If you want that then OU should not be in the top 20 after Baylor loss. OSU has done a good job at most big games but Iowa seems to be on fire after beating TTU. I think they have been the under rated team of the year.

OSU had a bad game.

Are you ****ing kidding me? The OU v. TTU game was a bad game for OU, just like the OSU v. Iowa St. was a bad game for OSU. Stop acting like it isn't that way- I'm tired of your OU bashing ********. Stick to talking about your own ****** team.

Ah sooner fans hate the truth.
No if ands or buts about it. At this point OU loses to TTU AT HOME is a huge embarrassment. A much larger one than OSU's lose to Iowa in Iowa. It was at LEAST an away game and Iowa has been on fire since beating TTU.

OU loss to TTU at this point in time is really bad. Lets see for OU that one loss was
1.) OU's homecoming
2.) In Normand one of the hardest places for an Away team to win at.
3.) OU had the longest home winning streak in the nation.

If OU had loss in Lubbock it would be one thing. Winning in Lubbock for an Away team is not the easiest thing in the world, UT and OU both have suffered nasty losses there to TTU in the past and it was massive upsets then but OU loss in Norman to TTU and at this point it is really bad. TTU has sucked since that win.

BCS ranking tup.

1 LSU
2 Alabama
3 Arkansas
4 Oklahoma State
5 Virginia Tech
6 Stanford
7 Boise State
8 Houston
9 Oklahoma
10 Oregon
11 Kansas State
12 South Carolina
13 Georgia
14 Michigan State
15 Michigan
16 Wisconsin
17 Clemson
18 Baylor
19 Penn State
20 TCU
21 Nebraska
22 Notre Dame
23 Georgia Tech
24 Auburn
25 Texas

The computers like OSU. They might still stand a chance to play for the NC providing they beat OU. That might be enough for them to jump Alabama. The loser of the LSU vs Ak game well they will drop below OSU.

(All this providing they beat OU) OU is complete out of the running for NC.

I was pretty close. I forgot how terrible Stanford's computer ranking is. That's keeping them down lower.

These polls are so messed up. Oregon dominated Stanford just a week ago...

Nor should OSU... You don't lose to Iowa State as a top 10 team.

I agree. Losing to a team like that should have hurt them more in the polls. The computers continue to mysteriously love them.

That was just some damn good football. Like I said before anything can happen in November.

Agreed here, too. Iowa State was pumped and came out swingin'.

I just dont get how boise can still be ranked so high??? They lost to.... Nevada :eek::eek:

Wrong year, buddy. That was last year's nightmare. ;)

1. Spell "Norman" correctly, please.
2. Iowa State on fire post TTU win? So that's how they beat KANSAS 13-10...?
3. I'm not "afraid" nor do I "hate" the truth. Read my posts and you'll see post TTU loss I have done nothing to advocate that we will make it to the NC, nor should we.
4. With the TTU loss and talking about how hard it is to win in Norman, you have conviently forgotten the 2 hour rain downpour after which nearly 1/4th of the fans left before the game started. Even the players said it was demotivating to see people not come back, and many left at halftime (7-21, I think.)

Interesting...

UGA loses to BCS #7 Boise and #12 SCarolina
Oklahoma loses to Texas Tech and #18 Baylor

Guess which is the highest ranked 2 loss team?

Because you're not Oklahoma. Duh. See also, Notre Dame and a whole host of schools where you see their record and think "Why are THEY still ranked that high?"

Seriously, it is odd since usually early losses are usually better than late-season losses. I think a lot of voters in the polls completely wrote off Georgia after those early season defeats and they have been trying to climb back up the rankings ever since. Weren't they out of the polls after the SC loss? A similar thing happened to Auburn in 2004, when they started the season very low-ranked and couldn't get into one of the two two spots even after going undefeated. I still think they got ripped off on that one.

I also think UGA is getting shafted this year. But hey, go out and beat GT and LSU, and you'll get yourselves a BCS game. No problem, right? :)

I figure for the BCS games Bois is going to get an at large bid but they are going to do it like they have in the past and refuse to give Houston or Boise one of the AQ teams. They will make them play each other instead of risking the allowing proof that non AQ teams can hang with the big dogs.
