Just tired of the big ten schools getting zero respect in bcs
You love posting those stats, and they are impressive, but I don't agree that BCS performance is the only indicator for respect.
The Mountain West has a better BCS winning percentage than the SEC (I notice you conveniently left them out of your statistics) - does that mean I get to argue that they're better? Obviously not, but I think only looking at BCS performance allows one to forget that there's a bunch of other teams in any given conference beyond the ones waaay at the top.
Texas is 3-1 in the BCS, but what the hell does that do for me
this season?
I only posted the BCS stats because of the original quote that stated specifically he was tired of the Big 10 getting zero respect
in the BCS, that's all
I didn't list MWC (3-1), WAC (2-1) because they are not BCS Conferences
The Big 10 has played more BCS games than any other Conference (respect?)
But they have also lost more and have a losing record
In fact, excluding MWC and WAC, only the SEC and Pac 12 have winning BCS records
And the SEC is the only Conference with a winning record in BCS Championship Games, a perfect 7-0
Number of different teams winning a BCS Championship?
SEC - 5 (LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee)
Big 12 - 2 (Oklahoma, Texas)
ACC - 1 (Florida State)
Big East - 1 (Miami, now ACC)
Big 10 - 1 (Ohio State)
Pac 12 - 0 (USC vacated)
Number of different teams playing for a BCS Championship?
SEC - 5 (7 winners, LSU and Florida twice)
Big 12 - 3 (Oklahoma four times, Texas twice, Nebraska)
ACC - 1 (Florida State three times)
Big East - 2 (Miami twice, Virginia Tech, both ACC now)
Big 10 - 1 (Ohio State three times)
Pac 12 - 2 (USC twice, Oregon)
Number of different teams playing in a BCS Bowl
SEC - 7
Big 10 - 7
Big 12 - 7
Pac 12 - 7
Big East - 8 (Miami, Va Tech both ACC now)
ACC - 5
Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions
