the knicks have been plagued by many injuries this year, and it's too bad because the team's potential is high. but I am afraid that amare and melo are just not compatible, and they will try to trade amare next year.
hopefully with the full team we'll steer away from the obnoxious Melo-ball we have been seen this couple of games.

....And then he Tebowed.

Difference being he's not a preachy d-bag like Tim Tebow.

Some of them self-inflicted.

I don't think it's the injuries, as every team as dealt with them. I think it was the coaching situation, Amare and Melo learning how to play together (jury is out), and not having a decent PG for most of the season.

Embarrassing. That's how I sum up the performance by the Lakers last night. The big men were nonexistent as was the defense. I am embarrassed to call myself a Laker fan. No matter what happens after this series I hope the front office shake up the team and try and surround Kobe with a younger group of players with the heart and desire to win. /rant

Celtics/Hawks- It's nice to know that there is at least one other veteran team (save for the Spurs) that win a series. The Hawks had the lead in the last two minutes, but Boston's defense prevailed.

Boston takes game 7, and then there were four.

BOS/MIA and SAS/OKC.

Both series should be exciting, already can't wait. :)

(And since we won, I won't mention that BS charging call on Pierce that fouled him out. Whoops, too late. BS!)

Boston v. OKC please.
I'm only wanting OKC to win because I believe if the Celtics move on they will be easier to defeat. If Miami goes on to the finals, I want them to play the Spurs!

My rooting order:
Celtics, naturally
Not Heat
Thunder
Spurs

The Celtics aren't the glitziest team, but they play with heart and leave it on the floor. I'm pretty sure most of America will be rooting for us in the next series. I'd be a lot more confident if we had Avery Bradley and Ray Allen wasn't playing on busted ankles, but crazier things have happened. Let's roll the dice once more. :D

Agreed!
The C's had bad luck with injuries this season. :(
Green, Bradley, Allen, Pierce, Pietrus and one of my new favorites, Chris Wilcox. I really hope we can get him back next season. Hollins is useless, he has energy, but he lacks actual talent.
Bradley turned out to be a really good player, it's so sad that he got injured now.

(I can't root for Westbrook)

I feel bad for Hollins, he can't catch a pass to save his LIFE. It's like his hands instantly go numb, so annoying. But he's clearly trying hard, so I hate to curse at him (I do anyway).

I'm a Durantula fan, also love James Harden. Plus they have Perk, and I like Westbrook's game. So if the Celtics happen to lose, I'll be pulling for the Thunder all the way. I've seen enough of the Spurs winning.

Definitely a great game. I'm a Laker guy, so while it makes me want to puke, I'm happy the Celtics are in the driver's seat. :)

LOL

That series is definitely about the lesser of two evils for most of us.

And how about both teams who were down 0-2, coming back and winning 3 in a row. The OKC - Spurs series has been fun to watch as well.

Aww, you know you secretly love us Boston fans. ;)

But yeah, it's kind of nice to have the support of most of the world for once, ha. There's almost no team I wouldn't root for over the Heat.

And yes, really enjoying the Thunder - Spurs series. The Thunder have really turned it around.

celtics baby!!!!

i'm ready to drop $250 to go to the game thursday.. now i just need to find someone else who will too

I wish I was in Boston, I'd join you in a heartbeat. Have fun if you do go.

The dagger 3-pointer, right in Lebron's face. Hehe. You can easily find the one fan in that crowd that was about to be really, really happy.

The Celtics are winning every time after the Thunder win, therefore the Thunder have to win tomorrow. :)

Finals: Celtics v. Thunder.

I had to miss the Celtics game today, but I'm planning on watching it tomorrow after I find a *cough*. I'm really glad the Celtics are winning since all my friends tease me for being a Celtics fan.

That is friggin' awesome. What a great shot.

The Heat bother me because I don't like the idea of superstars getting together to win titles, but I also like this article by Rick Reilly:

http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/8011587/lebron-being-lebron

I've read that article - and while I do agree he takes a lot of unfair criticism (he can make 17 out of 18 shots, and people will harp on the 1 he missed), the fact is a lot of it he's brought on himself. From the ostentatious Hummer at 18, to the "King" moniker he uses everywhere, to talking about winning 5+ championships, to the unintentionally arrogant post-game remarks.

The whole decision debacle wasn't THAT long ago, and honestly, people are going to hate him for being as good as he is and how much coverage, praise, and speculation he gets. It's part of the deal.

That said, I've always disliked Bosh, I hate Chalmers, Shane Flop-o-Matic Battier, and most of the other Heat players. I think people resent their arrogance in thinking that signing Bosh and James meant instant championships for the foreseeable future. So they can suck it.

This thread is dead, but I'm resurrecting it because tonight's game was so bloody awesome. Go green!

I watched the second half... I'm rooting for the Heat but they got outplayed and outcoached in the 4th. Rondo had some of the best plays in the 4th, especially that tip out to Pietrus and his own put back.

And like Jon Barry said, with the Heat, when they're winning everyone's happy, when they're losing, everyone's pointing fingers. With the Celtics, everyone's got each others' back. KG had a nice post game interview on the court too where he big upped Pierce.

Yep, making fun of the Sick Dirk wasn't very professional either. I can't stand how they think that they are automatically going to win a championship.

suck it espn.

I've said C's in 6 and I'm sticking with it, even though I got a bit worried after losing the first two.
