I have a Samsung display and a Toshiba SSD. No way in hell am I exchanging it. Until an intelligent explanation surfaces of how much more a Samsung SSD benefits the user, I'll gladly forgo the vicious cycle of a return process.

I ordered another one of these. I if I get the LG display and the Toshiba SSD should I kill myself?

How should I do it? I'm on the edge anyway, and this might just be the last straw.

Well....sigh... they wont have mac Jones to kick around anylonger.

Actually, the state of our government REALLY does make me want to jump off a roof :D

Just fired up my new air and I have:

13" i7 LP133WP1-TJA3 and SM256C

Glad for the Samsung SSD and I guess I am fine with the LG Display as well. Loving this thing so far. This is my first MacBookAir and my first Apple computer I bought 4 months ago is an iMac 27". Love that as well.

Ultimate 11" and I got the Toshiba and the LG =\

Thinking about exchanging it. This doesn't seem like a good reason for them to accept an exchange though. I also went for the rebated printer, so I can't even really return it without some hassle.

Anyone actually exchange it successfully? What did you say?

First 13" MBA i5 (base model) -- acquired from Apple Store:

LCD - Samsung
SSD - Toshiba

Second 13" MBA i5 (base model) -- acquired from Best Buy:

LCD - Samsung
SSD - Samsung

Boomshakalaka! :D

How are people doing exchanges? Is it even worth the hassle to exchange a MBA 11 i5, 4gb, 128gb SSD (Toshiba SSD, LG Display), and hope to get another one that has Samsung SSD and/or Display? Aren't SSD about the access speed and not sequential read/write?

Yes. What are people saying for the exchange

11" 64gb

And for the 11” SSD 64gb, is it also the Russian lottery between a Samsumg or a Toshiba?

My 13" 1.8 ultimate came today with a Samsung 256 ssd and an LG display. Everything seems fine including the speakers. I am happy with it and I think I might stop reading things on here so I don't go looking for something I would never had noticed! Peace out

13" i7 LP133WP1-TJA3 and SM256C on the MBA I just unboxed. Display is fantastic, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

13" i7 LP133WP1-TJA3 and SM256C here. i just unboxed it, it looks great and not sure what the samsung screen looks like in comparison so yeah.

So Samsung and Samsung is what to look for? Will Apple allow you to pick and choose at the store?

How many double Samsungs are we seeing from Best Buy?

i've gotten 2 11" 4GB 128SSD's from BB - both had all Samsung components

on another note:

how is everyone's vertical viewing angle? i managed to test out both Samsung and LG panels at the 5th Ave & SoHo NY Apple stores, and when you have the panel tilted back (away from you).. there's that negative effect going on. both 11" MBA's i have show this as well.. it's fine from side to side and when tilted towards you.. but when tilted back.. looking from the bottom, it gets pretty bad color distortion. again.. i've tested this with a bunch of MBA's with Samsung and LG panels and they show the same results

OMG :( I'm getting someone to buy the MBA 13" from US for me. I'm worried if it comes with the slower model :/ what should i do ?
