where do i find my display info?

I know I can get the hard drive info under the profile, but where do i find my display info?

I've got a 13" base model with the SM128 SSD. I didn't check the display yet, but can't right now since I'm mobile...and by mobile I mean typing this while taking a shhhhhhhit. Lolz

Display: LP133WP1-TJA3, Guess that's LG?

SSD: TS128C , Guess that's Toshiba?

Don't care anyway :p.

Got base 13".

Isn't the hard drive under serial-ata in hardware info...where is the DISPLAY info?

thanks for your time :)

See below

To identify your display
open terminal , paste
ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

the first line is your display model

example: 13" ultimate - LTH133BT01A01

You can find Terminal in your Applications folder (or using the new LaunchPad). It opens up a tiny window with a Unix command prompt. Copy and paste the text above starting with "ioreg" and then press return.

The LTH displays are Samsung, I believe, while displays starting with LP are Philips.

So I'm going to go home and check mine after work.

I'm reading Samsung is better than Toshiba with SSD...So I'm looking for SM128 (I have 128GB) correct?

And which display is better? LP or LTH? LTH from what I'm reading is better, and is Samsung correct?

So I'm looking for SM128 and LTH....

In my experience, the parts are just built in randomly:

I bought a 13" Ultimate today. I checked the parts and got the Samsung SSD.
Then I found an ugly scratch beside the trackpad, so I went back to the Apple Store to get a replacement.

According the serial number and the fact that they've only got one delivery yet I come to the conclusion that the 2 were more or less made on the same day at the same place.

I've now got the Toshiba in the second Air.

EDIT: I just googled about a comparison between TS256C and SM256C. According to harddrivebenchmark.net (site of passmark software), they are about the same in performance. the toshiba is even a bit better rated. Does anybody know this site? is it accurate?

I'd like to see a side-by-side comparison of the two displays.

Typically the LG displays have rendered white better and, as a photographer, color rendition is very important to me. But who's to say that's true in this case? That said, I'd calibrate either display within minutes of setting mine up, and all critical work gets done at home on a big IPS monitor in a controlled environment anyway.

The only way to know for sure is to have someone get both versions and do a proper side-by-side evaluation...

I resisted this for awhile but, when looking over browser tabs that I wanted to clear out, was reminded of this issue and just had to see what I had.
11" SM128C and LP116WH4-TJA3.

I had intended on buying the 11" with i7 but, lowly Apple stores such as the Original one (Tysons Corner) didn't have them (Where is the love, Apple?) and I didn't have time to wait for a BTO.

13" base configuration ordered morning of 7/20, received noon 7/21.

Hard Drive = SM128C

Display = LTH133BT01A03

MacBook Air 11 i5 4gb ram 128gb SSD

SSD - Apple SSD TS128C
Display - LP116WH4-TJA3

Worse combo right? lol bought it at my local Apple Store.

Hi there, long time viewer and first time poster from my first Mac!

just got an 11.6'' i5, 4GB, 128 SSD MacBook Air and I'm loving it!! Will take a while to get used to the OS X but I'll get there!

Here are my specs:

Hard drive: Model: APPLE SSD SM128C
Revision: AXM09A1Q

Display: LTH116AT01A04

Is it any good?

11" i5 128GB

SSD - SM128C
DISPLAY - LP116WH4-TJA3

x

Is this any good?
I'm happy about the Samsung SSD...but is the Phillips Display bad compared to Samsung?

I've only seen one 11" with both Samsung.

Other than that it's been Samsung SSD and LG Phillips Display.
