Did you not hear about the Razorback's game this week??
Looks like Tyler Wilson may not play
Won't be close

If Wilson is out, the Tide will have an easier time against the Razorbacks. But I was disappointed with some aspects of their play against Western Kentucky: six sacks of McCarron and not much of a running game. I'm sure that Nick Saban is addressing these in practice this week.

Go Gators :)

Good win for UF. Another instance of A&M blowing a second half lead, but I will say this one felt different than the losses last year did. This was less about A&M blowing it than about Florida making adjustments and making plays when they had to.

The only blemish (other than the final score) was all the Florida players faking cramps in the second half to slow down the pace of A&M's offense. We've seen that a lot the last few years...didn't expect to see it from the Gators.

Really... You're going to spew that rubbish too? I guess the fact 4 of the players who were all starters "faked" injuries and happened to never return was all part of Wills master plan....

This. As a former athletic trainer I can tell you that the first few weeks of the season are brutal on these guys. I wouldn't bet on fake cramps in that Texas heat this early in the season.

The defensive players who went down and walked off the field under their own power all came back. Usually after one play. It happens all the time against up-tempo/no-huddle teams.

It was 88 degrees on Saturday. Coolest September game I can ever remember seeing at Kyle Field (and I've been going since the 80s). Not one single Aggie had to leave the field with cramps.

I pretty sure it's hot in Gainesville, too, so either Florida is the worst-conditioned team in the South or something fishy was going on. Everyone knows it was the latter.

All that being said, Florida was the better team and played great on defense in the second half. They earned that win despite the chicken **** behavior.

Roll tide!!!!

hmm if you want to go that stuff let me point you to the crap A&M did last year against TTU....... The same stuff......

It genearlly happens because they do get cramps because they never get a chance to rest between plays.

Clearly you have more expertise than me so you must know what you are talking about. Oh wait...

Oh you're an expert. Okay. Why, then, Mr. Expert, when both teams were playing in such horrific conditions, did only one team's players suffer such maladies? Clearly because the air is so thin and cool by comparison in Gainesville, those Florida boys have never experienced such heat and humidity. Why the mercury was practically boiling when the temp his 85 around kickoff.

I'm just saying... You have no idea if they were flopping or not. You can assume whatever it is you want, but my last season at Georgia, we had to IV multiple players at the half for cramping and it was a cold rainy night game in Arkansas around the same time of year. It does happen.

But like I said, you can believe whatever it is you want.

Cramps are often days in advance in the making. It has more to do with the fact it's early in the season, and they just got off a long hot summer of practices, then the heat that particular day.

Obviously I don't know for absolute certain that they were faking; I just think they were (and more than a few Florida fans agree with me).

I think it's bush league but it's clearly not against the rules. I think there should be a rule that says if a player has to be helped from the field he cannot return for the remainder of the current series.

If they really weren't faking it then Florida should be very concerned about their conditioning. A&M practiced all summer, outdoors, in 100+ temps and didn't have a single heat-related incident during the game.

Regardless of all that, the Gators outplayed A&M in the second half and deserved to win the game, so it's a moot point. Week 3 is here. Good luck to UF against UT.

I'm going to ride the train from Fort Worth to Dallas today to watch A&M play SMU. Nothing like a little "tailgating" from the cozy confines of the Trinity Rail Express!

Should condition better then

We get 2 of our defensive starters back
But we are still missing Rambo and Ogletree apparently
Looking like a 4 game suspension for those two
Which means they will likely miss the Vanderbilt game too
First game back would be Tennessee, and we will need them
Wish they could get the rust knocked off before then

Dawgs should have no problems with Florida Atlantic today :)
Most everyone is getting a break today with a cupcake
Only a few games of note

I was 6-6 in week one picks
Last week was 1-2 missing on the Auburn/MissState and Florida/A&M games but hit the Dawgs over Mizzou

Florida State should roll Wake
Alabama will expose Arkansas
USC should have no trouble with Stanford

The two intriguing games to me are:
Florida at Tennessee
Notre Dame at Michigan State

Tennessee may not be back, but they are healthy and playing with confidence
The seem to have an edge to them that Florida lacks right now
I picked against the Gators last week too, but assumed A&M had overcome their second half woes
Should be a good game

Notre Dame goes to the ACC (except football, yet gets access to their bowls, WTF?)
Anyway, Michigan State likely spanks the Irish

You keep bring this up I am again going to point back to several games where A&M did stuff like that. The did it against TTU.

So much for my picks this week

Michigan State and USC get exposed
Notre Dame might be pretty good after all

The Trojans looked average and Barkley looked mortal against Stanford
Forget the hype of their magical season
They may still have a pretty good year, but this definitely tarnishes their hype

The Tide rolled on
And FSU is making noise

Good win for the Ags yesterday, totally dominating SMU 48-3 while Johnny Football broke a bunch of team freshman passing records.

Watched the first half of Ole Miss-Texas. Looks like the Longhorns finally have a QB that can throw the forward pass. Was that Ash's twin brother out there? Where has that guy been? If he keeps that up, dmr727 might actually have a chance to win that lanyard bet.

I didn't see the games, but a bit of a surprise in both the Michigan St-ND and Stanford-USC games. Funny sign...

FSU v Alabama most likely for the NC.

But I think Notre Dame is going to trip up against Michigan. I don't think they're that great, they just played inspired. Mich St was too one dimensional anyway.
