Zero chance. Had some hopes around WWDC but the flaky nature of SKUs released back then and the general nature of the event on iOS made me a little nervous. Not nervous at all now. Although they left it very late. Can't have imagine launching a new Mac after the middle of Nov
Just noticed that shipping dates have slipped to 7-10 business days on BTO high-end 27" iMacs in the US Apple online store... Just an observation!
Can't wait. But also worried about problems. My head is filled with teardrop designs with a 70s sci-fi feel. Haha... I should get that out of my head otherwise I'll be disappointed!
BTW, if I give my old machine to my Parents in law, what do I do about the ML OS on it from my app store account??? I'd like to give them a clean computer to do with what they like and not need to rely on my password to DL apps.

Stakes? I think the iMac will be EOLed and we won't see another refresh in its current form. I think Tim Cook's "something great in 2013 for pro users" is going to be a different, combined or otherwise revamped desktop model.
at the AppleStore in Milan, Italy. I asked if I'd be able to buy one next week. Pietro smiled and said he didn't think they would have any deliveries by next week of the 'new' iMac, but he was hoping so.
(p.s. Everyone else in the crowd at the Genius Bar was being helped with shiny telephonic and tabletic devices. Dinosaur Mac Desktop/laptop users are definitely just a vocal minority nowadays!)
I see, the SSD is usually an option though correct? So if I were to purchase a base 27" model it'll come with a normal HDD and the SSD can be added if I chose to?
When(if) the new iMac is released next week, will the current refurbs be removed from the apple store? Or will they stay and drop in price at all?
2011 refurbs will probably drop another $100-$200.
With your optimist glasses on
the picture you paint is just plain wrong
nothing more than a TED song
the imacs
- they're all gone
so next tuesday
you'll be crying
stumbling all over your lying
7 days of hope
and then nothing
once again you will be denying
it won't matter
cause negativity is flying
and cook is counting idevices
while apple plays with you like dices
in the crises
with heartbeats as cold as ices
Ladies...Gentlemen...
I just don't see how Apple is going to release iMacs without the Retina display...
They have too. It's so obvious... MacBooks have them.. IPads, iPhones and iPod touches have them...
Oh boy a "wordsmith" he he... wellarightythen.
