I'm sure there's going to be a redesigned Mac with a stunning Retina display!
Think about it, why would Apple wants to announces something old and uninteresting? They can do it on the Apple website, just like last year right? (MacBook Pro in Feb, iMac in May, Air and mini in July)

Who's with me? :D

So its 2pm on Monday here in Sydney, if only the keynote was in Australia, you'd all be throwing your credit cards at apple right now...

LOL no redesign :D That's what happens when you create rumors out of thin air, with 0% evidence to support them

hmmm so I guess my final prediction of a thinner 15" MBP was wrong haha . Now I'm really hoping that Ming-Chi Kuo is right! Come on Kuo!! :D

Huo's thoughts are stupid. why would you wish such things.

Because I want a thinner MBP haha and looking at the supposed logic board photos on the front page, it seems like the MBP isn't changing its design so the only hope for a thinner MBP-performance notebook is for Kuo's prediction of a new Macbook to come true :D

I don't know what to think anymore, especially with these new logic boards appearing exactly the same as the current model. Although, I don't know enough to say that if they were changing the MBP then they would need a new logic board layout.

I just hope there isn't a "new MacBook" and a spec bumped MBP because I don't know which I'd choose. I like it alot more if it's a redesigned MBP and an MBA so my choice is just between the new or old MBP.

Just have to wait and see at this point. Reminding me of the 4S announcement though, which might not be a good thing.

Latest rumour is certainly interesting. Going in the direction I thought it would.
Lots of mixed messages now about form factor and aesthetics, rather dubious.
Just give me an Ivy Bridge and a new look (or swap ODD with SSD) and I'll be happy.

Since there are less than 24 hours to go all will be revealed soon. The more I read the more confused I become about the likelihood of any hardware announcements being made. It seems these are usually done at press announcements not WWDC. I hope that's wrong. I'm hanging out to replace my 2008 MacBook.

It would be hilarious if it was just an iOS update. Man, biggest disappointment ever.

I'd prolly rage since I just got an apple credit card, which has no interest payments for 12 months if I buy within 30 days

Well, it looks like what the analyst said is close to what they will reveal.

Macbook Pros in current form factor updated. A new more expensive thinner 15 laptop, who knows what it will be called. But I am guessing 'macbook' only. But it might be called a Air.

I have some bad news. Well maybe. I am hearing from a my guy that works with Apple's supply chain that the memory for the new laptop might be soldered on. As like in the Macbook Air. But that it will be ample RAM right off the bat.

Reason being that he can see part numbers but for 8GB and 16GB ram. He usually cannot see part numbers that are 'upgrades'. Only standard parts of the machine. Don't know for sure but it is looking that way. Hope he is wrong.

Well I hope not, but may not be a big deal if they provide ample RAM.

On a lighter note, at least Apple is not sacrificing form over function. The current MBP's are thin as it is but they perform well. Upgrade able. Like I said before Apple will not upgrade something or redesign something if they cannot make it better or have better performance.

The current crop of MacBook Pro's are only 24mm thin. Less than a inch. A Intel Ultra book spec(not that it means much since Apple created the segment with the Air) for a 14inch and over laptop and that includes 15 and 17 inch. Is 21mm. The current MBP's almost qualify for Intels spec for a Ultrabook by 3mm.

I don't know if the new design will win me over. I have enough money for a 3000 laptop, but would I want to spend that much?

Especially one that has the same internals as a slightly thicker and heavier cousin? One that is less than a pound heavier?

I will hold judgement until tomorrow morning, but let's hope Apple surprises us.

Or potential benefit if they retain the current form factor is that they will retain the 16:10 screen - although I guess they could go to 16:9 and just make the bezel thicker top & bottom

I think this further strengthens the idea we'll see the graphite shade to freshen things up a bit if rumours are true we're not seeing any new redesign.

From the 9to5 article:

we believe that Apple will be announcing both next-generation MacBook Pros with a thinner design and Retina Display AND spec-bumped MacBook Pros with the current design.

So, we'll have a MacBook Pro Air (or Air Pro) and a MackBook Pro Classic?:confused::confused:
