Ortiz had a huge case of roid rage last week and no suspension from MLB.

Oh please. You're grasping for straws and it's embarrassing. How many players have gone beserk on water coolers, helmets, etc. after a horrible at bat? I guess we can suspend them all for steroids!
And I'm sick of seeing Ortiz's name bandied about like he's Braun or Bonds or A-Rod or Melky Cabrera - ADMITTED/CONVICTED steroid users - but only because people equate morals with PED use - keep in mind he's never been caught using steroids.
Yes, Ortiz appeared on a list of alleged drug users secured by the federal government in 2003, according to the New York Times. But Major League Baseball and the players’ union said that some of the players on that list never tested positive. And while Ortiz acknowledged that he was “a little bit careless” in those days with then-legal vitamins and supplements, he said that he never bought or used steroids - source
And anyway, the witch hunt and "my team is clean!" stuff is completely asinine. Every single team in the league has had players that have used PEDs. Every single team. So the high horses are dumb and a waste of time and energy. I don't see a point in acting like teams/players you hate are somehow worse than your own. Homer, Marge is calling you.
I don't hate A-Rod because he uses PEDs. I hate him because he's an insufferable, arrogant douche. I hate him for the crap he pulled in the 2004 playoffs. I hate him because he's super greedy and superficial and acts like he isn't.
But he's being treated unfairly by MLB, and Yankees fans (not the minority, reasonable Moyank variety) only hate him now because he sucks and his contract is atrocious. No one minded his d-baggery when he was helping the Yankees to banner 27. It's transparent as hell, it's not about the "good of the game" whatsoever. So, no, you won't be getting my sympathy in trying to weasel out of his contract unfairly.
