So are the Bucs really that bad, because I can't believe the Falcons are really that good. I know Atlanta is a good team, but that was one humiliating loss last night. Awful performance put in by Tampa Bay.

I still don't get the idea of signing McCown when Glennon play last season and did a decent job.

TB sure did look bad last night, I'm sure they'll rebound and win some games. Can't see a love smith coached team being that embarrassingly horrible... I do think they made a mistake with McCown though.

That's what surprised me the most. I can see being outplayed by a superior team, but the sloppiness of the Bucs was astounding. Quite out of character for team being coached by Smith.

I was never a McCown fan in the first place, he seemed more of a decent backup then a good starter. Glennon played well enough last year imo to be the starter this year. I don't buy that he's the future and needs to be under the tutelage of McCown to get better.

Agreed.

McCown also had the help of 2 really good, big receivers last year in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey. You can just throw it close and those guys will bring it down.

I'd let it ride with Glennon and see what he can do.

Damn, JJ got me 37.1 points last night. Sadly, the rest of my roster is banged up with 5 questionaables and 3 probables.

Goodell need some media training, like yesterday. And he had a week to prepare for this.

Now, that revneD-Seattle game was the superbowl people actually would have enjoyed (except for Seahawks fans, who much enjoyed the one in February).

Good game no doubt, but there are many people, myself included, who thoroughly enjoyed seeing Princess Peyton get completely smoked last February. ;)

Anyone hear about Rob Bironas? Died in a car crash in Nashville last night at only 36 years old. Terrible news... :(

It was a nail-biter thats for sure but in the end the Hawks won.

Bye week for them now and that's good because they got some injuries to heal.

He has to go, I know the players can't stand him, and to be honest, I think he's done more harm then good.

I don't like the whole idea of judge, jury and executioner and then he's the one that hears the appeals.

The news conference lacked any depth, or sincerity imo. It was scripted by lawyers and PR firms.

Niners O and KAP played well enough for the win, but the brutal (and apparently sloppy) D came in and went over the top with cheap shots and penalized the Niners enough to make it a loss, again.

I don't know if it's a team that is passionate yet doesn't have the details yet (as some may think) or if they are truly a season ending D that can't get over three key starters who aren't active and that the team is in a rebuilding year not expected to even go 8-8. It's too early to tell and we had an alarming 3-2 start in 1994 with a team that looked like it lacked the luster of most great Niner years yet we then later went 10 straight and even won Super Bowl.

But for 2014, never mind not being ready to play a clean and dominating D and beat Seattle, apparently we can't even beat the Cardinals or the Bears, even while having led them 17-0 and 14-0, respectively. The only team the Niners D seems confident in beating is themselves. This is the worst I have seen the team since Harbaugh took over.

The Patriots squeaked by the Raiders, I can't believe I'm saying this. Wow, the Patriots have a lot to focus on to fix. I'm not really all that hopeful for this season.

I was shocked too. The Raiders suck (unfortunately for us in norcal) and should have been blown out by Pats.

Pats, GB, and Niners all don't look like contenders at this time and usually these teams come out swinging and dominate other teams.

Out of those three, I'd say the Niners look the best to getting into the playoffs. GB has just looked awful, and the Pats had some positive plays and they looked good at against the Vikings (granted it was against Cassel w/o AP)

I know, and I totally was hopeful before the season started. They just look a hot mess. Oh well, nothing we can do but ride it out and see. On the plus side, texting during games with my father has gotten really funny with all the creative cursing. :)

The good news is the jets lost, so its only a 2 way tie on top of the AFC East. The jets are still making stupid mistakes, and plays and while Geno Smith looks great at times he his a turn over machine.

The Dolphins look much weaker overall (even though they spanked the pats).

Buffalo while having a bad game is still looking formidable.

All things being equal, I think the Patriots will have to scrap and fight to keep on the top (or near) of the division

What is really a hot mess is the AFC East... The Patriots could be sub-par and they will still win the division... Buffalo is who we thought they were lol. EJ Manuel is horrible they will take a dive soon..... Miami has been terrible after that week 1 win over the Pats. and the Jets *sigh* I have no words, the last 2 weeks have just been frustrating to watch as a fan. Talk about blowing opportunity after opportunity to win a game... It takes a special talent to do that.
