yeah the guy is a real big time jerk.... but if I may play devils advocate here for the sake of discussion. Martin is not a little undersized peepsqueak I mean come on, he could have stood up for himself during some of those incidents described. A lot of it sounds like ribbing that any group of friends would go through. Again not to defend Incognito but in my opinion from the reports Martin does come off as soft and sensitive. That doesnt make it right of course

Apparently Martin wasn't the only target of Incognito.

In the introduction, the report refers to an assistant trainer who was “repeatedly was targeted with racial slurs and other racially derogatory language.”

The Japanese-born trainer was apparently the subject of repeated abuse from Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey.

The report says they referred to him as “Jap,” “Chinaman,” a “dirty communist” or a “North Korean,” and would make demands such as “give me some water you f—ing chink.”

There were also lewd remarks relating to massages, and Incognito admitted making the remarks to the trainer.

now that guy I feel really bad for. He is probably undersized and he is not a player so he probably couldnt stand up for himself. His only option would probably be to file a complaint, but he would probably be scared of losing his job.

I think the moral of this story is that punks like Incognito and Pouncey should not be allowed back in the league. Their actions are really disgusting

So a person's size/ability to fight is the indicator for whether or not they should have to put up with abuse at work? Who cares if Martin is sensitive? Who cares if Incognito or anyone else thinks he's soft? It really shouldn't matter one way or the other - the sort of behavior this report illuminated should be unacceptable in civilized society, with NO caveats. I hate this idea that any of this crap is his fault because he didn't punch Incognito out or return the abuse. It was clearly very pervasive, and if he didn't feel comfortable standing up to those bastards, it doesn't mean he deserved it.

Pretty much. They should be completely ashamed and punished accordingly. Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. Tormenting another human being because you have issues should never be excused. Period.

Darren Sharper suspected in 7 rapes, 11 druggings in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Arizona, Los Angeles, court filing says

Darren Sharper is suspected of committing seven rapes and 11 acts of drugging someone in four states, according to a Friday court filing by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. The cases include two in which charges were filed Friday accusing the former New Orleans Saints star safety with two drugging-rapes in Los Angeles.

The filings Friday included a narrative by a Los Angeles Police Department detective of the cases in other states, including New Orleans, in which Sharper is suspected of additional drugging-rapes. The filing revealed that analysis of the rape kit in the New Orleans case found Sharper's DNA in the alleged victim, who reported blacking out after accepting a drink from Sharper.

This is getting really grotesque. And if one more person ever says that Michael Sam would be an "unwelcome distraction" in the NFL, I'll lose it.

So while the league and teams complain about players contracts and the officials' dental plan. The commish got $44 million in 2012.

Not to mention the retired players that are fighting for every last penny.
The NFL paid commissioner Roger Goodell $44.2 million in the 2012 calendar year, according to a recent tax filing.

Goodell was paid $35.1 million in salary, bonus and pension compensation. He also received an incentive payment of $5 million and a $4.1 million pension payment from the league's work stoppage in 2011 that was paid in 2012.

I'm really liking what I'm hearing from my Bengals for this season. Jackson at OC should hopefully open up the offense and actually use the speed and talent we have (hawkins, Gio, Marvin Jones, AJ of course). I didn't like the job Gruden was doing, despite the overall love for him in the NFL. The loss of Zimmer sucks though. And of course, Dalton needs to learn how to win playoff games.

Being reported on Twitter that Sharpe and Marino are out at CBS, Tony Gonzalez is in. Great move by CBS as Marino and Sharpe were unwatchable IMO. Pre-game might be watchable now.

@Ourand_SBJ: Tony Gonzalez is in; Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe are out as part of a CBS NFL studio shakeup. Full story will be in SportsBusiness Daily.

Now if we could only get rid of Berman

I bet Marino ends up in Miami and helps to try and clean up their mess.

That's easy, all you have to do is stop watching TMZ sports... err "ESPN".

Tony Gonzalez is a great choice for CBS. Classy, intelligent, and very well-spoken. Wonder who their other new guy will be.

I'm surprised that Marino is gone. I actually like him for the most part. My guess it was more on his side than CBS's.

Sharpe pissed off a lot of people after his Broncos helmet on live TV stunt after the AFC championship. That was a little over the top. So that one doesn't surprise me as much.

Good pick with Tony though. Every interview I've seen him do, he sounds like a well spoken, intelligent individual.

Picks for the upcoming season?

I see a possible juggernaut starting in Seattle. They will be good for a while barring injuries (a huge variable these days)

Is Peyton done? Can he bounce back from the embarrassing Super Bowl flounder? Is he truly a post season flop?

Brady and Belichek, any more super bowls in their future?

here we go again!

Juggernaut and Seattle? Unfortunately yes.

Peyton done? I don't think so given the year he has had leading the NFL's most prolific offense which probably explains why Seattle, mostly young, will be a juggernaut.

Brady? I think one more Super Bowl appearance and possibly win. Brady and Manning can both go another year and with the teams they have, a SB in their remaining career is possible.

Belichick? He's a coach and not a player and he can win several more with New England and/or another team. He's possibly the best NFL coach ever and given enough time and the consistency he's used to, he can catch Shula numbers. He's also the author of arguably the most dominant defense ever so he can win on either side of the ball and if he had to, he could take over Seattle and improve even them. Remember LT and the Giants? (that's BB). I can't think of a coach in a long time who is equally great at offense and defense.

Tough start to free agency when your team has a pocketful of cash and does nothing. Meanwhile, my Twitter timeline was clogged with tons of other teams making moves. :(

Very disappointed the Cowboys let loose Ware and now there are rumors of letting Miles go also. Ugh. Our defense was one of the worst in the league. I think we are not going to be the worst. With Kiffen still on board, granted not head DC, but still on board. What in heck is Al Davis thinking............:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Seattle hasn't done too bad so far in free agency. We re-signed Michael Bennet DT. Lost a 3rd string safety and unfortunately it looks like WR Golden Tate will be signing with a different team.

Jermichael Finley is visiting Seattle. Not too sure about that guy with the serious injuries.

All in all I think you guys are gonna have to deal with another year of the Seahawks whooping up on other teams..hehe

Idzik is a little bit on the "conservative" side. Reports are saying that Eric Decker is meeting with them today and the Jets have first crack at signing him. Lets see what happens there.

On the one hand I feel like Decker was a product of having Manning throwing to him and so many other receivers around him for teams to worry about.... but on the other hand he was still really good when he had Tim Tebow throwing to him that one season. I guess we'll have to see how it shakes out wherever he lands... I just hope the Jets dont ridiculously over-pay him just to look silly in the end.

I don't see him as a #1 receiver but the Jets are so thin at receiver, it's scary.

Looks like the Broncos do have the caps space,Ware will be a bronco.
