He does not. In fact, he was not even in a single play-off game. Archie played for the paper-bag-over-the-fans-heads New Orleans Aints for almost all of his career, never winning more than half a season's games. His career QB rating works out to 67.1, because the teams he played on were, as AustinIllini put it so cleverly, raging dumpster fires that would take much more than a marquee quarterback to quench.

On the upside, he had more than three times the rushing yardage as Peyton, or five times more than Eli.

It kind of seems like the Aints again but with an amazing, record breaking quarterback which probably makes things seem worse for them in New Orleans.

But I know the feeling with a well celebrated quarterback, Colin Kaepernick 92 QB rating, but with no Super Bowl wins. This year the Niners looks like a bunch of Aints and with the trouble with the coach it's amazing that the Niners got some of the wins they did. We still make not make playoffs though and it's very hard to watch. There is a chance that both Seattle and Arizona will fall apart in last few weeks but I am not holding my breath.

The Raiders knock off the Chiefs! This is a big boost for the Broncos. Now we just gotta beat the Dolphins on Sunday.

This is huge. While everybody was talking about the Broncos and Pats meeting again in AFC Championship game, I was thinking this year was going to end up being Chiefs and Colts, the up and coming second tier teams. But with Pats taking down Colts and Chiefs losing to lowly Raiders, it may end up being Broncos and Pats again.

You are at least my age and do remember Namath, right? If not that old, you have to at least remember Leggs:p

I remember him. He's the reason I'm a Jets fan. Despite living in NY, my dad was a Redskins fan. Killed him that I liked the Jets.

And the Jets were probably happy that they thought the game was canceled. Now they have to go out and lose another one.:p

Niners are three games out of first place already and we can't afford to lose any more or we are toast in our quest for the division. We are also tied with Seattle in a distant second place so we have that additional pressure on us where we may not even make a wild card.

We should get past Washington but I wouldn't count on it. The only bright spot of this season so far is that the south bay area over here is thrilled to have a major sports arena for football. It's not all up north like Warriors, Raiders, A's, Kings, and Giants. The SF Candlestick fans can still drive just a little to get here without too much drive time but the new Niners stadium also opens up a fairly populated Silicon Valley who now have the team in their backyard. Other than high tech, so much in terms of the state has been centered around SF proper or the Greater Los Angeles area. The south bay was either seen as a warehouse wasteland or forgettable towns. For this reason it just doesn't make sense to change the name to Santa Clara 49ers or San Jose 49ers.

and... another win for the Pats! GB showed a lot of defense issues today but it should be a great game to watch

Arizona (9-2) loses today and SF (7-4) wins so SF is still alive so that's the good news.

But Seattle won and owns 2nd place in NFC West so there's no time to rest. We will face another week with our backs against the wall. SF looked OK but didn't show the normal strong offense it usually displayed last year. Kap has to throw more than one TD and Gore has to run better than 36 yards. This is nowhere near a playoff caliber team right now and we are currently the #8 NFC seed well out of playoff contention if season ended today. All this sucking is new for Kap and Harbaugh so the team has to find a different way to win and survive at this point. Yeah we know how to choke like Romo, Brady, and Manning, and those creative self destructions of those teams in recent years, but with four losses against seven wins and chasing Arizona, this is really about sucking all around and may not have an opportunity to choke but just disappear in regular season in third place. If we miss playoffs, Coach Harbaugh will be shown the door for sure and even then, he's possibly on the way out.

As a team, SF is used to being way ahead but has never played well under pressure coming from behind in recent years. We just can't seem to man up in last quarter of season and ramp up for playoffs like other teams have, especially the Ravens who beat us in the Super Bowl or the Giants who took us down in a previous NFC championship game. There's some reason SF can't seem to squeeze every bit of what healthy talent they have and the team seems to squander quite a bit. If we somehow pull off a miracle and win the NFC West, that will be a huge confidence boost in what has been at best a mediocre season so far having us in 3rd place in the west.
