Keep rationalizing. Just like last year right ?

I personally don't think the Hawks will beat the Patriots but if they do I hope its the same score as last year.
;)

I do agree about the eligible linemen. Seattle did the same thing when they kicked that fake field goal. They had a rookie lineman as an eligible receiver line up on the left. Then he just ran into the end zone.

Keep rationalizing what? Being the winningest franchise of the last decade and a half? Appearing in 6 Super Bowls? Having a coach that is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers? Watching the greatest QB to play the game direct my team into the playoffs over and over and over and over? The results speak for themselves, I don't know what else to say except there should be a Patriots wine blend made from the sour grapes and tears of all their conquered. Pretty much every smart NFL analyst has said this is all a load of BS, but I'm sure it won't matter. It's out there and will keep getting brought up because it's the Patriots.

You and others can win the morality Super Bowl or the likability Olympics (and that's a tenuous position as a Seahawks fan) and keep living in a world where reality is what you desire it to be. I'll keep enjoying the view from Gillette Stadium in my Cheatriots t-shirt.

As to the Super Bowl - who knows? The Seahawks are a good team. So are the Patriots. I'm just going to enjoy my team taking another shot at it and hope for a BS-free game.

Oh my god. What are we even fighting about?

This is possibly the changing of the guard where the dynasty of the last fifteen years could be handing the torch to the dynasty of the next 15 years and this ain't no easy transition.

You have a team that is going to 6th big game since Brady joined up in 2000. The team has three Super Bowl championships in 11 trips to the postseason, not counting this season.

Then you have a team that bests the the Niners who went to the NFC big Sunday three years in a row, and they best Green Bay who had the worst meltdown in playoff history, and from a young team of loudmouths claiming their equal place among the greats with NE, Pats, Broncos, Montana, vintage Cowboys, vintage Packers, etc.

This should be a great game and we will see if the old guard falls to the new guard. Brady and Belichick are definitely headed to hall of fame and I wouldn't be surprised if Wilson, Sherman, and Carroll go there, too. Yes, the Seahawks will one day be on top going to playoffs year after year after year into double digits under Carroll probably seeing Patriots as retired and rebuilding, but this could be the last year Brady (or Manning) and company make a stand and tell Seattle, "not yet kids".

If they can continue to win when Russel Wilson is paid like the top QB in the country, I'll start talking dynasty.

Would super high pay suddenly doom his performance?

Wilson has it now and will have it later. Best two year intro into sport with 100 or better QB rating in first two seasons. Best comeback in NFL postseason history with two scores in 44 seconds?! I don't think anybody like that with such little history in the NFL but already great achievements will want to continue on being just on cruise control.

Judging from his start, he can catch the TD, yards, and percentage records like some of the greats. Even though Brady's first six postseason games yielded an amazingly high completion rate over 60% percent, Wilson exceeded that at over 63% percent in six games.

No QB, regular season or postseason, has an early start as good as Wilson.

Russell Wilson, while young, is on track to make or break many records and when talking about Favre a few years ago, then Manning who broke a few of those milestones, will see us talking about Wilson in the same breath. I won't be surprised if 50 years from now Favre owns one record in yards, Manning another in TDs, and Wilson the other (probably career completion percentage and QB rating).

without clicking the link imma say it was the houston oilers vs buffalo bills...

That was an amazing game. I was totally screaming on that one and it was one of the two comebacks in sports from everything I have seen that blew me away (the other was French Open with Lendl coming back 0-2 to take out McEnroe).

But what was weird and memorable about the Seattle-Green Bay game is that the Seahawks totally sucked 3 1/2 quarters, had four turnovers, and then all of a sudden catching Green Bay for overtime? What is this, a video game? It was the weirdest game I have ever seen thus some saying it was the biggest meltdown. We are talking about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers here.

It's almost as if Green Bay stopped playing and Seattle didn't have to do much in order to win.

With Reich and the Bills, the team rallied big time and got momentum going and were on fire. But with the game on Sunday, Seattle put up at best a mediocre effort and still won that 15 points in a very short span of time. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps and hindsight it was terrible that Green Bay didn't go for the touchdowns early on. It's just not vintage Aaron Rodgers.

Even an envious 49er fan, like myself, can give props to the Seahawks for never giving up and making everything out of the chances they were given.

It was almost like magic.

God I hope they get crushed in the Super Bowl.

Just ... crushed.

On the next episode of Cheaters, The New England Patriots.
The New England Patriots had 11 of their 12 allotted game footballs under-inflated by 2 pounds of air (PSI) as required by NFL regulations, according to league sources either involved or familiar with the investigation of Sunday's AFC championship game when the Patriots beat the Colts 45-7 to advance to their sixth Super Bowl.

"We are not commenting at this time," said Greg Aiello, the NFL's senior vice president of communications.

Just a win would be good and I won't set myself up thinking and hoping for a shellacing. Yes, that would be nice but right now I am OK with win or just enough of a win to put the Seahawks back in their place. They are a football team, not gods.

I get mad at the Seahawks when they beat us, naturally, but it's infuriating seeing the ball game literally handed to them.

It makes real sense for the Pats to cheat against a team they haven't lost to by less than 3 touchdowns.

they won't do anything. and anything they do will seem like nothing. pfft.

You don't think they won't come down hard on the Patriots and/or Belichick? I could see the NFL banning him for life for cheating, I don't expect it, but I won't be surprised if they do.

Here's the gist of the article that I think needs highlighting
Yet to be determined is what, if any, penalties may be imposed upon Patriots. One source described the league as "disappointed ... angry ... distraught," after spending considerable time on the findings earlier Tuesday.

Given how they were caught cheating before (video taping) and how image conscience the NFL is, and how they were trying to get beyond the image damaging Ray Rice debacle. I think they'll be coming down hard on the Patriots. If it was there first offense in cheating maybe, but they really have no leg to stand on.

If you say it enough times I guess it must be true. Patriots are cheaters. Yup.

Patriots fans keep saying how ridiculous this is in hopes that it goes away as just some silly accusation and gets swept under the rug, but this proves that its more serious.

Belichik is an amazing coach (maybe the greatest ever) but he is a sneaky little piece of **** and I hope they come down hard on him and knock the arrogance out of him a little bit.
