I don't think Rodgers even knew Sherman was hurting that much because he never left the game .

You guys are right. As a Hawks fan I will say the Packers were in control of the game.

Funny thing is Rodgers said they beat themselves. The same thing can be said about Seattle. They were beating themselves for 56 minutes. Then things changed. That's why a game lasts 60 minutes not 56. I've seen comebacks before as I'm sure everybody here has.

Seattle still held Green Bay to a touchdown and five field goals.

Funny part is some Seattle fans left early. Ya losers !!
Then again GB was pulling Championship jerseys and hats out of boxes too when Seattle woke up.

Seattle wasn't doing squat on offense. A 0.0 QBR ? That's laughable !
But in those last 3 minutes Wilson had a 86 QBR.

Green Bay needs to learn a game lasts 60 minutes not 57.

I wasn't sure how this game would go but I'm pretty sure Brady is in for You Mad Bro part two. Sherman will be in that Super Bowl game.

Seattle used a play out of Belichick's playbook hehe. Declared an eligible receiver for a 6'5 303 lb. lineman.
Touchdown !

In his press conference, Rodgers said he was aware of it, but poor execution prevented them from taking advantage of it.

Since the "Fail Mary" game of 2012, the Seahawks have certainly had the Packers number! At this point I'd say they are a bigger rival than any of the NFC North teams.

Here in Titletown, people are sick sick sick after the events of yesterday afternoon. How a team can implode to such an astonishing degree is mind-boggling. Clearly we gave that game away; let off the gas in the 3rd quarter and "played not to lose". Why Rodgers never threw at Sherman after he got hurt makes no sense, and once the running game got jammed up why did we stick with it?

I love my Packers and always will, but right now I'm just disgusted with them.

And in the end Green Bay is making excuses why they lost.
Seattle players fully admitted to playing badly and made no excuses for their bad playing.

Therein lies the difference.

I have the upmost respect for Russell Wilson.
He may thank God in his interviews but at least he is trying to be honest about it.

Wilson ain't no Tim Tebow.

The tearfully thanking God thing is old already. If you believe in God, it should be obvious that he/she wouldn't give a rat's ass about a football game. It's the same idea when disaster survivors say that God protected them. Oh, but not the people that died? They didn't have God's protection and favor?

Re: Seahawks/Packers: I feel terrible for Brandon Bostick. McCarthy threw him under the bus in his press conference - more terrible coaching. The kid was just trying to make a play. He made a mistake, but it's going to be blown out of proportion when the real culprit was conservative playcalling, that god-awful 2 point conversion, and settling for two field goals on the 1-yard line early.

This line from his press conference, especially, highlights McCarthy's idiocy:

Reporter: Easy to question your playcalling now...

"If you want to question my playcalling... I'm not questioning it.

"I came in here to run the ball. The one statistic I had has as far as a target to hit was 20 rushing attempts in the second half, I thought that would be a very important target to hit for our offense."

The Seahawks were stacking the box at the end, so running the ball when you have Aaron Rodgers is absurd. They put the game away against the Patriots earlier in the year by letting him throw it late. Hitting a target number of rushing attempts just because is just...wow.

Ok. I give.

You guys sit around and blame others for the loss while I watch my team in the Super Bowl.

There's the real difference.

As a side note I will say The GB-SEA game was one with no controversial flags, plays or officiating.

Refreshing for the play-offs.

I think God is a New England Patriots fan in an Old Testament type of way. :)

God blesses his chosen people (Pats with 3 out of 4 years ending in Super Bowls in the old days), then lets them rot out with ten years in the wilderness and awful stuff like two lost Super Bowls at the hands of the Giants no less, but then a return of favorite son status with Brady holding up the Lombardi in two weeks time.

If the Ravens can stun the football world, then be in the dog house for a decade, but then come back and win in just as unlikely a manner to see Ray Lewis walk off a hero, then it's possible it can happen to the Patriots. Somebody has to shut up the smug Seahawks and for the fans of the rest of football, it's time for the Pats to end this thing for Seattle. I can't wait to see Sherman's face after a loss at the Super Bowl. That being said I think Sherman and company will see other Super Bowl wins, but I just hope not in two weeks.

Will you actually watch? Or turn it off if they get off to a bad start? ;)

Also, not reading where people are sitting around and blaming others for the loss in here. I think the reasoning has been pretty spot on. Or are you talking about the actual Packers players? For as long as there have been winners and losers, there have been people making excuses about a bad outcome.

I think what's getting lost is the Seahawks defense hanging in there against Rodgers and the Packers to even give Wilson and their offense a chance at the end. They had a **** ton of things break right for them, but if Green Bay was up 28 - 12 or something, it wouldn't have mattered. Sure, they got helped by a timid Mike McCarthy, but they did their job holding Green Bay down.

The whole "no one believed in us all year" thing is suspect, though. No one counted out the Seahawks and they were the #1 seed for god's sake. Clearly milking the disrespect thing for all it's worth, and I should know, the Patriots do this quite a bit.

God may have been a Patriots fan in 2001, but I think that hasn't been the case since then (FWIW I don't believe in God, I was simply speaking in hypothetical earlier).

I think you will be in the minority in rooting for the Patriots. Even though Seattle could potentially go back-to-back, which is always horrible for fans of every other team, the Patriots are still probably the most hated team in the NFL. Most thinking New England fans have long accepted it and even embraced it. We had our fun with everyone rooting for us in 2001. :)

Truthfully, Russell Wilson's post-game was far more annoying to me than Richard Sherman. I don't see the big hoopla about Sherman. He talks smack, but it seems to mainly be because he's emotional and is trying to get a rise out of people. I thought he and Earl Thomas did way more talking on the field via playing with busted wings. I prefer the Belichick style of keep your mouth shut, but the Seahawks have their own style and it's fine.

I had to laugh a bit at the Wilson comparisons to Brady, though. All I can say is uhm....nah.

You just made me puke in my mouth a little. I respect the Seahawks but time to step down off the high horse a little.

Wouldn't the refs have noticed the difference?

It's an all-around absurd story, but that won't stop the cheater-bleaters from accepting it as gospel truth. Yes, there's an investigation into why "several" balls had to be replaced in the game last night (and each time they were replaced, it was with balls from the other team's bag, but people keep conveniently ignoring that). Other than 3 tweets from a honk writer in Indy implying that it had to be because of cheating, there's no evidence to support the notion that NE doctored the balls.

anything to bash us... its ok I've learned to live with it. Haters will hate on successful teams. Just like Denver fans lol...

We will never know if the Pats cheated because Bill had to take the cameras down.:p

I'm pretty sure most people will be rooting for the Seahawks...

But, whatever works for you... :D

Pretty much. But if anyone wants some incentive to join the dark side of the hoodie for a game :D - how about using Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights movement as a rally for a football game?

Actually, I would imagine that watching tape will be a big part of the investigation. Once the balls are inspected and certified by the refs, they are given to the ball boys for distribution. So I would think they will look at video to see if there's any evidence of them trying to deflate them on the sidelines.
Would be a pretty poorly-planned and not terribly advantageous bit of scheming if it turns out to be true, but I doubt it is.

For haha's lets say that the Patriots did cheat (again), what would the league do about it, award the win to the Colts? What's done is done.

I literally laughed out loud...

I hadn't seen that, but i did see a report about the Seahawks issuing an apology about a deleted tweet. Apparently they didn't intend to compare football to the civil rights legacy of Dr. King.

Excuses, Excuses....

Also, you know that my loyalties prevent me from actually rooting for the Pats, but I'm psyched (and extremely jealous) for you and the rest of the nice Patriots fans! Enjoy it! I fear I will never know the feeling.

The officials took 2 or 3 balls from the field and weighed them. That's what started it.

If NE is found to purposefully deflate some balls Belichick could face another $500,000 fine and a loss of draft picks.

You could always jump to the Blue side of the fence. We have beaten the evil hoodie a few times. :D
