For the Super Bowl it doesn't really matter because a third party is taking care of the footballs.

My tinfoil hat says the Pats are doing this purposefully to fire up the team.

Ha !

Tom Brady's press conference is absolutely absurd. These are 50 grown, educated adults asking the dumbest questions. Wow. As an aside, Tom Brady is a dreamboat.

he he he.

and how much difference is that little bit of air going to make?

pretty sure this is being blown out of proportion.

brunnel is pissed and says Brady is lying.

The best and greatest QB ever says he likes his footballs at 12.5 PSI then says he doesn't know the difference ?

Something doesn't add up.

And before you start to bash me again. Those were HIS words not mine.

I think, essentially, he likes his balls at the lowest spec of the spectrum they give. People aren't ever going to be satisfied with his answers on this. Either you believe him or you don't. Either you think this is a big deal or you don't.

I think it's officially jumped the shark into hilarious territory again for me. And Tom Brady handled that way better than I ever would have. I expect that internally he's furious about this dumbassery...and that makes me excited.

It will work for both teams.

Oh and good thing it doesn't snow in Glendale Arizona.
:D

Mark Brunell is just pissed because he blew through $50 million investing in various dumps in Florida. And he's a worse commentator than he was a quarterback.

ESPN is a **** show right now, with these bitter ex-players near tears, calling a grown man a liar.

It's also entirely possible that Brady knew he was taking a bit more out than he should, but didn't think it was a big deal or didn't care. Again, neglect.

I think you have a different definition of the word neglect, my friend. If Brady knew he was letting out more air than the rules allowed, that is cheating not neglect.

Sorry I was referring to the whole thread in general.

Lot of hate for Seattle while the Pats are squeaky clean.

Football is not a clean sport no matter what team it is.

Don't worry. I am taking the moral high ground (that's for Queen of Spades :p) and cheer on the Seahhawks in the Super Bowl. Plus they beat the Packers, which is always a good thing.

Talk about blowing things out of proportion. Full disclosure: Life long Jets fan and I loathe the Patriots.

Whatever happened, NFL Chief Investigator Barney Fife will have this cleared up before the Pro Bowl.

EDIT: This never would have happened if Steve Jobs were alive or Obama was never President.

I'll be cheering on the Hawks as well even though I believe they are going to lose.

Wilson has become way too erratic for my taste.

LOL. Riiiiiiiiight, that's what's happened. It was the Patriots Growing Pains video I posted, right?

Ha ha ha. And awww rdowns, I just want you to know that I hate the Jets right back. <3 Although I was slightly surprised at first, pretty much all Jets fans I've encountered on this issue have been like "this is dumb."

I agree. Gronks great !!

:p

that's not what I've been hearing. On NFL Live yesterday the ex-players tested different balls and they noticed a significant difference in the deflated balls

Also the least scientific test for anything. No one is blind in that.

Let's say Brady altered the footballs to his liking. If so did he do so knowing it would fall out of the range of what is acceptable? How far below the level was the ball(s)? And what if the ball boy did so at the behest of the head coach or one of the coaches?

There has to be intent as well as the action of deflating the balls. If there's no intent to break a rule, then forget it. If there was intent and knowledge of cheating by breaking the rule, then ban that player or coach from the Super Bowl. The NFL has to make a stand and either has to **** or get off the pot. A slap in the hand won't count if they think there was intent and wrongdoing. But if all is clear, then the NFL should just shut up and stop tarnishing the Super Bowl before it's played.

As long as this controversy goes on, it unfortunately plays into the hands of the Seahawks and yes, makes that idiot Sherman run his mouth.

A. Sherman is a Stanford graduate. He's not stupid as you say.
B. Everything he said is the truth. Sorry if the truth hurts.
