This one is going to sting. The Pats really should have lost this game.
Things come around. They should have demolished the NY Giants, twice in fact.
If karma, or lady luck is a part of it, the Pats have another Super Bowl win headed their way.
Just like you saw two Super Bowl games where the brilliant John Elway should have won but there were some extremely unlucky breaks and Denver lost, but on the long term his career saw him dwindle but then have this dude of a running back to help things out.
You can't have back luck forever, as it had seemed with NE for nearly 10 years, and sometimes the "other guy" has bad breaks. Tonight was that balance. Statistically, given enough time all teams will be very close to having an overall .500 record with very best team being only slightly better than worst team.
I am glad Tom Brady stayed long enough to see thing roll around his way. He was spending those last precious few moments on the bench at the mercy of Seattle near the goal line, head down realizing he had lost, again.
It would have to be luck, but considering the two previous Super Bowl disappointments, luck (or chance) had to be on his side. That's why you never have an MJ who can say he never lost a game on last shot, or you can never have a NYY who can say they won every World Series and have around 40??, or a great Tom Brady who is going to lose every Super Bowl after the three he won early on.
Sherman, Beast mode, Wilson, Brady, and Gronk aside, let's give some kudos to #21 of the Patriots. No mention of him, what did he do, go shoot up an elementary school or something? I don't get it.
Even if you hate the team, you have to give tip your hat off to that interception. I don't like the LA Dodgers and see how they slay my Giants when they come to town, but it's still stunning and amazing to watch Clayton Kershaw, right?
