Naw. I'm pulling for Nico. I said many years ago I think he's a talented driver with potential to be great. Now I'm seeing that happen and hope he goes all the way to the title. He deserves it.

I don't disagree, but as a Brit I've got to support our boy.

Plus I'd love it to go down to the wire to keep it interesting.

Haha I'm pulling for Nico too - killer name. I'm genuinely happy for him. Lewis has really turned the corner last season and this season and is a more likeable guy now. I wasn't a fan of the McLaren Lewis but now I don't mind him. With that said, he's already been world champion and Nico has pressed on for years without machinery capable of winning anything significant. He's probably had it easier than most with his dad being Keke but he doesn't come across as pompous. Not yet anyway!

He is likeable. He also ordered a product of the company where I work, so I have his address at work on my office PC.

Never knew this thread existed! I like Lewis, I think he is a fun guy, on the track their is no denying he is one talented driver! He is also deadly serious when racing, I hope he improves next year in his team standing and it's a shame he seems to have been placed in second by his team. It's also a shame his car has suffered some issues.

I think Lewis is a guy I would like to meet and chat to, he was having fun at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, I was there and watched him nail a 2009 F1 car off the start line, LOUD was not the word! He gave a nice wave to the crowds before starting off too.

I'll tell you what though, in the flesh the Red Bull paint job and decals look stunning:

Look we had an English team win with a German driver last year. Your just returning the favour.

(And yes I know red bull are Austrian but its built and designed in the UK).

Hey, I bought your English HiFi equipment, so you'll just have to be satisfied with that.

Oh wow! That must be pretty cool when an F1 driver orders something from you.

Sex toys...

Of course, they won't end the race that way, but it's super cool to see McLaren place so well in qualifying today. I'm Really amped to see the race tomorrow. And Button has a cool helmet for the GP as well.

And Hamilton... lol I love how he lost the psychological edge and keeps saying he's on his game but then can't pull it together for a win. :D

I think he thought there's no way he can beat me now after the first two deltas so I'll pull over and let him use up his tyres trying.
If he'd just finished the lap, it would be a very different race today. That's why he was so despondent after the qualifying. He knew he had given away pole.
Now it's another damage limitation exercise for Hamilton. I'd love to see him do it in front of a home crowd, I can't see him getting better than second. It's looking like a dry race as well so no changeable conditions to help the others.
We will see though.

So after a massive crash for Raikkonen and Massa, the race is under red flag. I didn't expect to wake up to that.

Yes it is a bit slow waiting for them to change the alcove.
I think starting from the grid would be better (like next year) after a red flag. A rolling start gives too much advantage to the front man.

Now I haven't been a F1 fan for long, and I thought the rule change was for Safety Cars, and that they already started from the grid after a red flag? I could be wrong though.

OOoohhh.... yet again reliability strikes the Mercedes team, not that I care as Hamilton won :D but it will be interesting to see how the other teams continue to snap at their heals.

As for Alonso and Vettel, man racing of the day, that overtaking was pure who has the biggest balls! Great stuff :)

But as the commentators said, it was a shame Nico was out as a battle with him and Hamilton would have been epic.

Really disappointed for Nico, but how about Bottas there in second? If he continues the trend, he'll win in Germany, which I would love to see. Also hate that Raikkonen and Massa got taken out early. Ricciardo held off Button at the end, but another lap, I think Jenson would have had him.

All in all, it was a good race.

I turned on the TV and the last station it was on from earlier was running a NASCAR race - boring. I switched to my DVR and turned on the qualifying for F1 from yesterday so I'm watching that now.

I hope the race will be recorded too, unless it's on a different station than the practice and qualifying.

Edit: Just checked my DirecTV Guide and see that the race is set to be aired, and recorded on the DVR at 5pm local time.

Then you shouldn't be reading on here! Nothing worse than knowing the result before you watch.
