You really are an apple fanboy are you and totally wrong. They don't have the same ui because then you can argue the same for iPad and iPhone. It is insecure? What it thinks it is to fat? What malware? I have used android for 3 years now and no malware on my phone. App selection is almost on par with iOS with games being a few less. Hardware differences give you options. And while it is cool to have the integration between desktop it isn't a must have ...yet. I have gotten updates on my android devices while slower it gets them. They also have a community just to name one android central. So I am a "jerk" because I own a Samsung Galaxy note 4 and own an iPad btw. You're not a jerk, just somebody who's deluded about the current state of android re: malware and security and UI. Everything I said was accurate, and I'd like to ipadlvr produce evidence of an apple product purchased in the last 3 yrs. I can and will produce proof on request.

I'll say it again, everything I said was accurate. I didn't say it in a nice way, sorry.

It is garbage because most android makers fork it and load it with bloat ware. And you have to deal with carrier or some store for crap support.

A nexus 6 on the other hand at least comes close. But I see very few people with a nexus phone.

People or non techies just don't care. This is why Apple just releases a Mac mini with no quad core or updatable ram. The only people upset are techies. They're told to shut up because its about what's best for your average idiot nontechie. Not you.
Fork it? Samsung, HTC and so forth don't fork android.... Amazon forks android with its fire os. See you can hate android and that's fine but calling it garbage is an opinion not fact

2015 iPad Air will be the one to get

No it isn't.... I have zero malware on my android devices. Don't download outside Google play and your fine. Also have to read permissions. I love ios and android but android is far from garbage.

Ok then. Lol. Yep it's my opinion. I would have thought that was a given.

It's very easy to get malware if you aren't careful and people do trick Google play and rig app ratings to get stuff out. 99% of viruses on mobile are written for android, and that's because it's easy. It's not even close to iOS in that regard.

Lets face it, the iPad Air 2 release is junk.

The screen shows ripples when holding it one handed. How did Apple not discover this in quality testing before production is anyones guess.

The battery life is worse and the charger is 10w instead of 12w so it doesn't have improved charging times vs the Air.

The resolution has not been improved, meanwhile Amazon and Samsung both have tablets out with better resolution and screen quality (Amazon has 100% RGB color accuracy, Samsung has OLED which is better contrast/more vivid).

Tell me Apple, how with your available cash flow larger than most countries are you able to be outplayed on resolution and screen quality by two amateur companies?

The base model is still 16gb. Seriously Apple, your putting 16gb base models when memory couldn't be cheaper? Literally, you can go to any store and buy a 16gb flash drive for less than $10, yet Apple treats it like it is more rare than unicorn tears.

As it stands right now, the only benefit to buying the iPad Air 2 is the 2gb of ram. The iPad Air was already more than capable and we all know that most app developers build apps to be able to run on the majority of iPads.

Next year Apple will release a higher resolution iPad based on 14nm architecture. The speed of the processor will easily support the screen resolution.

*Say what you will. This update is just a minor one. I wish that weren't the case, but next year when they up the screen resolution and quality everyone here will be making posts "Should I upgrade to Air 3".

All of the above from someone who has not even used a Air 2. Amazing!

Sorry but I and other think a lot of the Air 2. I find it even better than the Air I had before.

People will STILL complain about next years new iPad, even if it ran Yosemite!!!!

Yes but Google play typically weeds them out. As long as your don't download form other sources and read permissions your fine. Yes android has malware but simple reading of permissions and sticking to google play most people won't get it

Ok. Chill out I don't actually think android is literally garbage. I just see jerks who are on this forum and clearly have no intention of ever buying an apple product, and my inner apple fan comes out.

Edit: I had a galaxy s4 for 8 months. Great screen, and better navigation that apple. Android has those two things right.

The Air 2060 will be the ultimate iPad. In the year 2060, it will be injected into your cerebral cortex, giving you the ultimate virtual tablet experience. It will read your thoughts in real time, and be your constant companion. Prices will start at $499. :D

$499 for the 16gb version :D:D

Bloatware!! Ha ha, I got my Air 2 Friday and restored it from an iCloud backup. What was restored? Let's see, Tips, PhotoBooth, Gamecenter, Newsstand , iMessages, PodCasts - all 'bloat' because I never installed them and can't uninstall them. Oh, and then, for grins, Pages, Keynote, GarageBand, Numbers, iMovies (none of which I ever had) all installed but at least I can uninstall those.

Apple installs bloat too. It's just a matter of perspective.

There is no gates ....people love to find issues . Go buy one yourself and if you don't like it return it and costs you nothing to do so within 14 days
well some of us want to know what we are going to buy... it has been only few days out and already issues. i definitely wait more until i buy it.

and i dont know about 14days return policy, it may only be then when you buy it from AppleStore (web) here. Different country, different rules.. e.g. apples premium seller 1store accepts returns (in 14days) for web purchases but the item must be unused...

In the us 14 days of purchase anywhere really. Sucks you have that rule. You can also try it out at apple store or a friend if they have 1

Wildly hyperbolic comment & by association basically saying every iPad model ever is "junk."

Say what you will, if that is the case Every Android & Surface tablet made is sewer-ware. There is nothing wrong with the Air 2. It mostly improves on the Air - the smaller battery & charger being a slight disappointment.

I have no regrets upgrading from my Air. Lots of incremental improvements for a 2nd model refresh. I'll see what next year offers next year and consider whether I'll update to the 2015 model. Upgrading is neither hard nor expensive. Until then I'll live for today not pine for whatever non-existent model your imagination cooks up.

Hey guys stop arguing on here. But IOS will probably never give you custom roms, kernels or root as on Android which lets you to do lot of stuff and custom roms give you some cool features like multi-window,ability to customize it as much as you want, customize navbar and ehh I almost ofrgot xposed with its modules.:p

Apple makes the OS. They determine what is part of it. Is some of it unnecessary? Depends on the user. It's hard to draw the line at what should be part of the OS and what shouldn't. But again that's up to Apple.

Google makes android. If I want to use android as intended by Google I have to buy a Google nexus. If I want a bloatware special mixed with carrier and even more oem bloat I can go with a maker other than Google. Your average idiot nontechie doesn't care this though. These are the same ones who bought pc's loaded up with bloat that performed at a crawl.

On my pc or Mac I prefer using the OS as intended by the software maker. Usually this means having to reinstall windows because most pcs are packed with bloatware.

Definitely Apple bloats its software in cases. iTunes. OS. Etc. But an oem hardware provider that packs on even more bloat and makes a mess of things that can't be fixed is simply much worse.

Then you can respond to them and say: refer to my thread made earlier last year just so I can prove I was right. Simple;)

After you stated about Samsung and Amazon being amateur, you lost credibility. Do you expect them to release all their features in one go?

yeah, here are several resellers (but no real apple store, only a web store) and some of them are so called "premium" level sellers.. so it is not at all hard to find a store to check devices... but the problem is that i cannot check the screen before i buy it, open it and turn it on. so after that im not able to return it anymore... it might be better for me to buy it from apple web store than from a local reseller. but anyway, im waiting to see how things go... i was disappointed in air1 and sold it on summer... so, im more ... vigilant... with air2 after these two issues (vibrating and screen)...

Lets face it, the iPad Air 2 release is junk.

I've stopped reading.

It's obvious. Everybody should buy the next iPad after every release, the current one is always junk.

Next year we will have to face it: the iPad Air 3 release will be junk.

Within 239283 years we will also have to face it.

It's garbage because they have the exact same UI for 11 inch tablets as they do for 4" phones. It's garbage because its insecure, completely. It's garbage because it has malware. It's garbage because it has fewer apps. It's garbage because the apps it does have are poorly coded. It's garbage because it gets new apps long after iOS. It's garbage because the hardware is all over the map. It's garbage because it's not integrated with a desktop OS. It's garbage because you have to buy a new phone to get updates. It's garbage because there is no community. And most of all IT'S GARBAGE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO USE IT ARE JERKS WHO TROLL FORUMS FOR HARDWARE THEY OSTENSIBLY DON'T EVEN USE!

I considered taking the time to debunk every myth and BS in your post... but then I realized that there's no point in arguing with someone who has the intellectual capacity of a gnat.

The iPad to get is the one that's available/affordable to you when you need/want one. Period. Dot.

Complete malarkey. My Air 2 is a better than my Air 1 in every way. Everything is snappier, you can really feel the performance difference. Where my old air would have a bit of lag opening some apps and doing other tasks, this thing just flies. The screen is better, it' s thinner and lighter and has better cameras. It's awesome having Touch ID as well. It's awesome having 2gb of ram as well.

No way, get the 2016 iPad! It's going to be better than the 2015!
