Apple chat rep (boy, are they getting tired of me) just told me that they expect my base TB 13" to ship sometime between November 10-17 (delivery between November 17-25). I was like, "Tell me something I don't know."

So who do you think will be the first batchers? People with dates between 15 and 22 or people with dates between 17 and 24?

Probably both. I'm guessing that those dates are more regional than who ordered first. Both of those are in the original 2-3 week period and some people got both of those estimates within the first day of pre-orders, however the later delivery dates started after and will probably be a different batch.

I had to call to get my price adjusted for the Military discount, I asked about whether I could pay for expedited shipping, they instead said they were able to upgrade the shipping to next day and it changed my dates from starting on the 17th to the 15th so it doesn't appear to be regionally based.

Guys I must say this is the most ambiguous and vague product launch I have ever been a part of, and I really have been a part of many, though I just made this account for this specific launch, usually I was just a lurker.

Although this part is quite boring and requires a plethora of patience, something I was unfortunately born without, once they start shipping it starts to get fun. Tracking the planes, bothering UPS/Fedex customer service, etc. So lets not get disappointed until we for sure know they won't be shipped out this week!

Thank you, I filled the spreadsheet with my information

I just noticed that the name of my MacBook Pro product changed from "13" MacBook Pro" to "13" MacBook Pro – Space Grau". Hopefully that's a good sign!

The same here, in Italy, for my order.. some days ago I was a little bit worried, because I thought there were a problem, but now Apple too confirms my color choice :)

I just asked the apple rep, he said standard shipping 5 business days and you need to pay 14 dollars for expedite shipping which deliver in 2-3 business days.

This has been proven false and has literally never been the case ever with new Apple products. Also you registered 6 hours ago.

I am sorry? How is this relevant to my register time? What is your point?

My point is that you must not be familiar with past releases as they absolutely always ship with the fastest method. If I really wanted to I could find all of my orders all the way back to the iPhone 4 (bought a 3G in store) and see this is the case. Apple always ships at the highest priority if you preorder.

That's typical of in-stock supplies, however, these are BTO items coming from China. They will deliver by the fastest means possible.

well, i mean 5 days from china to us is pretty fast tho, how long is the "fastest method" from china to us?

Its not included. Thats why I exchanged a USB-c adapter for the extension cable before Apple did the price adjustments on adapters. Worked out to where they ate the difference of the extension.

Do you know if you can use the extension cable from your old MacBook with the new ones? (My old one is a mid-2012 non-retina 13inch and I'm getting a 15inch this time.)

(Since this my first time posting in this thread, though I've been lurking: order confirmation 10/27 5:37 pm ET, CC charge 11/7 around 4:47 am ET, BTO Silver 15inch/2.6Ghz/1TB/450 with 2GB -- still says processing items)

Wish I'd of known this sooner. I actually tried to expedite the shipping

Looking at pictures only, it seems to be compatible. Also, the extension cable itself is being sold with no mention of it being uniquely suited to the USB-C chargers.

I can't believe it's going to be 3 days since being charged and no ones gotten any shipping notifications/updates
