Agreed. If they had just said 1-2 weeks for USA, and 2-3 weeks for us, it would have saved a lot of excitement-turned-disappointment.Ordered to London:
15-inch MacBook Pro - Space Grey
Configuration
- 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
- 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
- Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB VRAM
- 1TB PCIe-based SSD
- Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
Ordered around 30 mins after Keynote, card was charged full amount on the 11th. I'm currently using a 2012 13" MBP.
- Touch Bar and Touch ID
- Force Touch trackpad
- KYBD/USER'S GUIDE-GBR
- COUNTRY KIT-GBR
I'll be honest, I've been pretty loyal with Apple products over the last 5/6 years; I've stuck with iPhones, iPads and MacBooks (for a number of reasons). This is the worst experience I've had. I understand my delivery window is 17th - 24th Nov, yet it's very unlikely I'll receive my order at the beginning of that window.
But, for an order of an item over £3,000 I expected better. I've had no communication from Apple, nothing.
In the past, part of the Apple USP, to me, was the customer service. I felt looked after but now I can't help but be left with a bitter feeling about this order.
Fingers crossed we'll see something happening soon over here in Europe...
I believe there's an option to keep a certain UI pinned on the touchbar. So that it's not switching based on context all the time.
Totally agree, I was patient and understanding, and still understand that the delivery window is there for a reason, but that doesn't make the service any easier to take. I too have been a loyal customer for years, but therein lies the problem. There is no alternative and they know it.Ordered to London:

Here's the flight for late UPS departure scans out of Shanghai (PVG) to the US. It's flight 5X81: PVG->ANC->SDF. They'll hit the overnight sort at Louisville (SDF), make another flight to the final delivery city, then be out for delivery tomorrow. Pretty amazing how all this can be viewed online.
Here's the first leg, somewhere over the north pacific: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS81/history/20161114/1333Z/ZSPD/PANC
I just try to correlate the UPS scan times and destinations to the UPS flights.Total n00b question, but how are you guys able to track your shipment progress all the way from China (i.e. how do I know which flight it was on)? I can see that a UPS shipping label has been created in Rialto, CA, but how do I know where my MBP came from before then? Thanks!
I think this is the only time I have seen so many people, be so upset about not receiving a new product, before their expected delivery window. I just wonder if Apple and other companies setting our expectations so high, is starting to backfire.Totally agree, I was patient and understanding, and still understand that the delivery window is there for a reason, but that doesn't make the service any easier to take. Hopefully someone can confirm this. My understanding is that the only thing you can "pin" would be the function keys.
As I said, I'm not upset about that specifically, as I made clear that that is the reason delivery windows exist, it's more the lack of equality across the world, specifically against Europe.I think this is the only time I have seen so many people, be so upset about not receiving a new product, before their expected delivery window. Why apple send some today and some wednesday? This is suffering
Mine says "shipping to store" and left the Elk Grove distribution center in California yesterday. I'm in Montreal, Canada, does anyone know when I can expect it It at my apple store ?
It's not about that, it's about how people in certain places are getting them earlier than expected but not everyone.I think this is the only time I have seen so many people, be so upset about not receiving a new product, before their expected delivery window. If my current status is:
Shanghai, China 11/14/2016 9:07 P.M. Export Scan
but no departure scan, there's no way my mbp can be on that flight, right?
Odd... I don't see any upcoming UPS flights on this list from Shanghai to Anchorage

There is FX72 leaving at 5:08am local time (3 hours from now) or FX96 which doesn't leave until 11:24pm (21 hours from now). There do not seem to be any other FedEx flights out of Shanghai within the next 24 hours.Mine shows the exact same thing. At local FedEx facility at 12:13 a.m. Lets hope we are on that plane!
While I agree with what thearh said, I have to say this is the personal point of contention for me. I ordered my 13" MBP as soon as the Apple Store reopened on the 27th, so why am I getting my MBP three days after other customers? I know life isn't fair, but it still hurts. It's not about that, it's about how people in certain places are getting them earlier than expected but not everyone.

Could it be going to Japan first? Mine did earlier today. Not sure. I had a Departure scan from PVG at about 9pm (below) after an export scan at 2pm.

Maybe, but the thing is, they can only make as many as they can make at a time. Would it make sense for them to make all of them, for those that preordered within a certain time frame and stock pile them, then calculate when to send each of them out, so that everyone got them at the same time? If so, when should the order time cut off be? What if I ordered 2 minutes after, but someone else ordered an hour after, should we get it at the same time? What if some get delayed in transit? Should the rest of us have ours held until the delays are cleared up? It just doesn't make sense. This is a global logistical initiative involving so many organizations, countries, time zones, transportation methods, configurations and customers, it is unbelievable that we can get them within in the window promised or before. So as much as I would love to be one of the lucky ones to have received mine today, I know that I will get it before or during the promised window. I have spent a lot of money to get it, so why not wait and enjoy the build up of excitement. Why taint your own new product purchase with negative thoughts, before Apple has dropped the ball and given you a reason to do so? Why choose to be negative? Be excited and if you are unlucky enough to have yours arrive after the date promised, as I am sure a few of us will, let Apple deal with that exception and complain to your hearts content. It's not about that, it's about how people in certain places are getting them earlier than expected but not everyone.
Yes, I think it is important to mention it isn't just geographical favouritism; it is even people like yourself who are within the prioritised country but for some reason was considered unworthy for delivery today! While I agree with what thearh said, I have to say this is the personal point of contention for me. OhWTF is going on with Europe, Apple!![]()
