I think Apple have spoiled us with how well/fairly they coordinate iPhone releases. They have shown us that they are capable of delivering to a lot of people in a bunch of different countries on the EXACT same day (or at least within a few days for more rural areas of a country, etc), even with a bunch of different shipping companies and phone carriers involved. Why give us all similar delivery windows and then blatantly favour the US? Growing up as a non-American I am pretty much used to getting things after the US do, but usually Apple spares me from the jealousy! :p

You haven't even moved into PFS and rep said today or tomorrow? That sounds highly unlikely. I hope it's true though!

Yeah I cant quite believe it but as they have taken full payment hopefully there will be some moment soon.

Are there any Geekbench numbers out yet? I have seen for the 15" 2.9 GHz, but I am curious to see them for the 2.6 and 2.7. I ordered the 2.6 GHz, and I am still wondering if I chose the right processor, so some numbers would be nice :D

Will this adapter work for Migration Assistant? Going from 2-year old rMBP to the new 15"
I'm going from mid-2012 retina MBP and I walked with Apple today. They said it should work.

This thing is just incredible. The display is breathtaking; the keyboard is actually quite good; better than I expected. The trackpad is massive but palm rejection is excellent. I'm typing this with both palms on the trackpad with no ill effects.

It's silent, it's fast, it's gorgeous. What a machine. Wow...
Glad to hear about the palm rejection.

For me, it's not really about 'people receiving their orders before me' or the geography of it.

What has disappointed me is, like I mentioned in my earlier post, the disappointment with Apple I now feel. Let's face it, Apple charge a HUGE premium and we all know the product itself is not worth the thousands it sells for. I'm not just paying for the MacBook, I'm paying for the research and development, the reliability and the 'Apple' experience.

Every time I've ordered from Apple in the past I've not only had a great product, I've felt great about it (and Apple). This time around I can't help but feel they have messed up.

I don't care who they ship with; whether it's UPS, FedEx or carrier pigeon. As far as I'm concerned I have given 'Apple' a very large amount of money, for a product I haven't seen yet, that only they have told me will be brilliant. I did that because my past purchases and experience had been great so that built my trust. Now, I have clearly seen online that many other people are receiving their orders today, way ahead of schedule and Apple haven't even bothered to give me a simple update. I'm sorry but that is wrong, this isn't a small mediocre purchase from a struggling company.

At the very least, an update from Apple could've helped. I just feel Apple have gone about this the wrong way. Let's hope if/ when my computer does arrive, it'll be as great as they promised and make up for this cock up.

doesn't help when you see a Lenovo 910 yoga with a 4K display, ports, core i7, 1tb pcie ssd, 16gb ram for $1650. or a Hp spectre x360 with i7, 512gb nvme ssd, 16gb ram for $1299. I paid $2000 for a 13in MacBook with 16gb ram and 256gb ssd. I almost feel robbed. hopefully having the MacBook Pro in my hands tomorrow will change that.

You're making me cry ugly tears... So close and yet so far!

Stop it, John! You're killing us here!

Nah, really glad to hear some genuine excitement with all those dull, over cocked reviews out there! :)

Were you unaware of the pice of the MBP at the time of order or how much cheaper windows based laptops are, before you ordered?

First post, longtime lurker, blah blah blah. I had to join so that I could comment on all this Euro business. I sincerely feel bad for the lack of communication. I've been there and it pisses me off. However, I highly doubt there is any Apple conspiracy. It's in there best interest to keep all customers happy. If I suspect anyone, it would be the EU for intentionally screwing Apple customers. Even if it's not intentional, shipping to the EU has a ton of hoops to jump through due to all the regulations of satisfying all 28 countries. Not to defend a big corporation like Apple, but they've sold more macbook pros then all other computers in 2016 just on preorder. That's a lot of logistics to deal with, and they probably don't know what the shipping companies are doing half the time. So many orders to deal with, they won't waste time on any vendettas. Since Jobs left, they don't seem to be interested in vendettas. Anyway, my 2 cents as a rational, business centric person. Only immature, thin skinned ******s would focus on lame, personal vendettas. Lucky for us, a d-bag like that doesn't have the awesome responsibility of delivering new MBP's, only managing nuclear codes.

Btw, back to the topic at hand, I am on the same Fedex 72 with 3:29 in-transit status. My 13" BTO estimated for Thursday 11/17.

A lot fewer options and configurations on the iPhones as well. There are quite a few different configurations that Macs can have making it impossible to predict the demand of certain machines.

You probably paid directly from a debit card. Most of the people here paid by creditcard (me too) and at first we got a €1 authorization. I got charged for the full amount on the 11th.
Yeah, that makes sense. I used iDeal to pay directly from my bank account. So that's probably why.

so knowing all this, and you still paid $2k for it. your post is really conflicting.

Don't forget the crappy Windows you get with those machines ;)

I'm still questioning whether I need it, or want it. It's a pretty penny (delivery Dec. 17-21/processing) especially with the upgrading and without all the dongles. I know if I see a standard version in the store this week that I'm going to cancel this order and pick it up. The rep I spoke with said that after these order ship that the remaining dates should be adjusted.

Sincerely,
"Don't Know What To Do SMH"
