Yea i tried micro fiber and some electronics cleaner if you hold it a certain way you can see the scratches I'm not sure if its worth having apple send me a new one. They said they can expedite the shipping and put in in front of the cue. Am i being to picky? I am very ocd i guess i have never had a scratch on any of the 3 MacBooks i owned. Im pretty sure since its space grey just shows up more. Just curious if any one else notices any factory marks yet?

If I were in your situation I would work on getting a new one. I am very particular about my electronics and I know having to look at a blemish like that on a ~$3000 machine would drive me absolutely insane. Best of luck to you!

Ordered mine about 3 hours after keynote ended, shipping date was originally 11/25-12/2 called Apple and got upgraded to 11/22-11/30, no credit card charge yet and still processing...
What have you done that your order is nor estimated for arrival one week earlier?

I finally signed up to share my story. Placed my order approx. 2 hours after event - been reading this thread since with fingers crossed for early delivery - been stuck on processing for what feels like forever. Trying to save some cash (! lol) I ordered Space Grey 13" 16gb 256gb storage. Have been debating since purchase if I should have gone for 512gb version.

After initial reviews for Non TB version with slight possibility of future drive upgrades I thought maybe I could upgrade later. Anyway after reading todays news that it the SSD is soldered in I decided that this is going to need to last a while, so spoke to Apple about possibility of upgrading.

To cut a long story short they said it wouldn't affect my delivery date, so the chat rep cancelled the previous one and placed an order for the new one, I just just received confirmation now of 21 - 30 Dec :( (originally 17 - 24 Nov). Real bummer.

Well, that chat rep assured me over and over that this date will change rapidly, and I should still receive it the same time frame as previous order. Even after I mentioned the new date, they said I will receive it sooner. Lack of movement in Europe, previous posts on here plus my never ending processing status make me think that my order hasn't even been looked at yet in the factory, but maybe the next few days?

After all the negative reviews/comments I still am really looking forward to this machine. I am finally upgrading from my mid-2010 MacBook pro, which I upgraded to 8gb ram and 512ssd. It has done me well and still works day in day out, chugging away. Even though I might have to wait longer, sod it, this new machine is going to be worlds apart from what i'm currently using! positive vibes :)

My "shipped on november 13" tracking finally updated. Looks like it's shipping directly from the USA to Toronto area after arriving there yesterday. Makes sense but surprised as some other Canadians seem to have their shipment coming directly from China.

United States 11/15/2016 7:30 Carrier and Customs Released
United States 11/14/2016 23:24 Received into UPS possession
11/14/2016 0:47 Order Processed: Ready for UPS

How many people think I should get Apple Care for my 15" MBP with AMD 460? Not sure if it's gonna be worth spending $300 more for a 'warranty'.

Here's my complete path for a BTO Touchpad 13" 16/512:

Ordered 10/27 11:34am PST for store pickup 11/25
Changed to ship to home (to avoid Black Friday) 11/3
Charged 11/8
Changed to PFS around same time other 13" people did, I think 11/11
Shipped Fedex 11/13 from Shanghai for arrival 11/16 (also received notification 11/13)
Now pending pickup in LA (one day early)

I personally always get AppleCare for my MacBooks. My 2012 MBP for example, the hard drive failed twice. Took it in, sign a form, I'm out in 1.5h with a new hard drive. The same with my 2015 MBP. Screen flickers, took it in, I walk out with a new screen.

Saying what? I mean bro, your order is now arriving one week earlier??! :-D Isnt that great!

Just the truth, that I'm waiting for this machine, and would like to have it as soon as possible. One week earlier is great, but now I find myself wanting it immediately, instead of waiting for the next 7-15 days, which is a reduction of the previously estimated 13-18 days.

The UPS guy delivered our two MBP's about three hours ago. My wife is still at work so she hasn't been able to do anything with hers yet...but she plans on setting up as a new computer. I used migration assistant and restored from a time machine backup I did last night on my Seagate external hard drive via USB 3.0. Then I copied WoW over from the same hard drive (I don't keep that backed up in Time Machine) and the whole process took less than an hour. I was surprised with how quick it was to get it up and running. The new keyboard is going to take some getting used to...but I'll get used to it soon enough I imagine. It sure is loud though. lol

correction: $380 in Canada lol

Anyway, apparently the SSDs in these models are soldered. So does that mean you can't fix it when they fail? And it doesn't say on the website if it covers if these fails.

Apple status changed to "shipped" Nov 13.
UPS tracking showed nothing until today and now it looks like my MBP 13" stock was born in the US?!? Say what!! Anyone else experience this?

I am hoping that most stock units will be shipped in a mass quantity and will then be distributed from an Apple distribution center. Hence, why yours was built in the USA :) Most units shipping from China are BTOs. I'm waiting for my stock 15 inch.

Applecare covers all hardware and yes, if the soldered fails, it would be covered. Assuming you don't try to open the MacBook yourself and unscrewing things out.

I'm about positive calling and having them put expedited shipping on it delays orders. I did the same thing and I haven't been charged or anything. People said that it wouldn't effect when your computer left the facility but it would speed up the actual shipment once it does ship. Others said that Apple told them that it could even delay things further, which so far I'm seeing that as true. At least for some people. Other people who ordered at the same time as me or after and did not request expedited shipping have already gotten their computer or it is currently being shipped.

Congrats on the new MBP! How full was your old MBP harddrive? I'm planning to restore from a seagate time machine backup as well, but my old HDD is almost full (500 GB), so I'm just wondering how long it's going to take.

Northern New Jersey - so after arriving at Newark Airport it probably went straight to Newark UPS which sends out the trucks around here.
Yup I'm from Piscataway NJ, My package went to Bound Brook NJ and from there it's out for delivery. Waiting for the truck to come :/

I enquired about changing my order too, to increase the CPU, but I was categorically told that I will be put right to the back. I know we don't always get the same message from CS but that seems more believable to me. Hopefully you will get it sooner but I wouldn't bank on it.

My mbp shipped on the 13th but the tracking status has been at export scan in Shanghai for about 36 hours now. The estimated delivery date is still the 17th, but should I be concerned?
