2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

My time machine backup itself was only around 60 GB or so and my WoW folder was 45 GB so all in all it was around 100 GB that transferred over from my Seagate external hard drive. The migration itself only took around 20-25 minutes and then copying the WoW folder was maybe another 10 minutes. I didn't time it because I started cleaning the house (in-laws coming to town next week for Thanksgiving) to kill time while waiting for UPS to show up. Then UPS showed up so I kicked things off and finished cleaning while it was transferring over.

One can only hope. I'm in the 3-4 week area with it coming between the 29th and 6th. Pretty much I'm guessing that there is a good chance for something happening Friday or at least another week.

One incident pays for it and then some. Between my wife and I, we've had to take advantage of it twice. I always get AppleCare on Macs.

It's like any insurance policy: it's worth the money if you need to file a claim, but a waste if you don't.

I was debating it too even with student discounts but you're essentially putting down a load of cash on the machine and if something were to go wrong I don't imagine it being a cheap fix. I personally have terrible record with any Apple products. I've had 2 iPhones so far, the 5 and 6 Plus. Both went in for manufacturing defects. I'm currently on a 2012 Air which had its' SSD die on me, again manufacturing fault but wasn't know at the time and if I didn't fight for it, it would have cost me half the price for my laptop. Sorry for my rambling, I just think it's worth the peace of mind.

I'm in the same boat.
Stock 15" 512 SSD stuck since the 13th 4:24 Export Scan,
 
Looks like Best Buy is coming through with delivery tomorrow! Ordered on 11/11/2016 with with guarantee delivery on 16th and free One Day shipping! Went to preparing for shipment around 1:30EST today! Awesome!

I only hope this laptop can come before Thanksgiving. Yeah, Thanks Giving
 
UPS has been stuck at this status for over 24 hours now, anyone else in the same boat? What's going on? This is coming to Orange County, California.

in NYC area, so usually they fly everything via Newark very quickly and get it out for delivery without much delay. mine is marked as Economy too though, so it's possible they are holding off for a day, but I think like any logistics carrier, the longer they keep anything in their inventory, the more money they lose!

Also stuck in Shanghai hell. Those who had export scans a few hours before us are already stateside :( What's your scheduled delivery day?

that's the thing though. How often do you think these will break? I've had my 2012 non-retina 13" MacBook Pro for 4 years. HD failed, but it was only a loose connection, but I've also had the battery replaced (not by apple though) because it wasn't holding much charge anymore. I've had the Warranty from Best Buy, but from what I experienced from them, they covered no **** cause everytime I tried to file a claim, they say there will always be a charge like wtf...Anyways, I think I have a year to decide if I should get it or not?

IKR!! 3AM Lousiville and it is now Out for delivery in Portland OR all the way here in West Coast! These guys are good.

That UPS HUB is like 5 minutes from me. I can go get it for you lol.

On a side note, I ordered ONLY a MERE 18,300 seconds after the keynote ended and I havent been charged yet :(. Just hoping to have it before Thanksgiving.
