Mine came in today!

Power adapter is dead though. Am currently on the phone being shuffled from department to department while they try to find out who is responsible for sending me out a new one.

Ordered a 13" i7/16/512 on the first day and delivery estimate is 11/25-12/6. It's still processing...

Decided to look online to see if my configuration was available at the Apple Store today in Pittsburgh. It wasn't and availability was 12/30. Nonetheless I decided to go to the store this evening to see what they had in stock. The guy helping me initially said they didn't have anything in i7... then I asked him to double check.. he said he may have found a i7/8/512 in the back. When the computer came out, it ended up being i7/16/512... the one I was looking for.

Point is that don't rely on the online availability and even when you go in the store, they may not know what's in the back....
asked 5 apple stores around Bay Area, no one has the 16GB model:(

Been going back and forth trying to decide if I go get a stock 13" TB at one of the 4 Apple Stores around me or wait for my 13" TB with 16GB Ram... uuuugggh must be patient...

Do you happen to know if it was a return? I just spoke with an Apple rep and was told that none of the stores would be carrying the new machines with 1TB drives. It seems that this may not be the case after all.

It was a brand new, never opened box. It was still shrink wrapped and everything.

I would ask them to get you the box and see if it is still shrink-wrapped and brand new.

I just picked up my 15" 2.9GHZ/1tb/Radeon 460, I was told these are their "Maxed out" models that they will be carrying in stores moving forward. My original order was for a 512GB instead of 1TB but oh well at least I have it now!

Went to both of the Apple stores in Austin, Texas yesterday between 2 and 3pm. Domain location had only 13" models. Barton Creek location had 15" models, but not the one I had ordered (2.9/1TB/Radeon 460 as well) on Oct. 27th at 8pm EDT.

The manager in charge of business accounts told me that he had sold two of that model earlier in the day and that he could put me on the list and call me if one came in. Less than 30 minutes later, he called. I paid over the phone and picked it up last night. Then, cancelled the original order due Nov. 25th - Dec. 2nd.

Mine came in today. It's certainly thinner and lighter than my 2012 retina macbook pro. I really like the darker space gray color.

On the negative side, the thunderbolt 3 power adapter is really snug and I have a young child at home who is already trying to yank it out... Hopefully somebody will come up with a 85W magsafe adapter... The one on Amazon is only rated to 60W and the 15" macbook pro has an 87W adapter.

The keyboard is also significantly louder than my old pro. I am not sure I like that. I will get used to the shorter key travel, but the noise is killing me!

I played around with the touch bar and I am pretty sure the only thing I am going to use it for is to log in and answer calls. It's not super useful for scrolling through photos compared to using the trackpad. I also find it strange that you can be in a file open dialog and it will give you an option to click an "open" button, but your hand is already on the trackpad and it is less movement to just click the open button on the screen instead.

It is nice to have the "run" button on the touch bar in XCode. I am pretty sure I'll use those shortcuts when running the simulator.

All in all, I'm just happy that I don't have to keep XCode on an external drive along with my Photos and Lightroom Catalogs. I upgraded solely because my 256GB drive wasn't cutting it anymore. Now I have 2X the RAM and 4X the hdd space. And the SSD is something like 8X faster than my first gen retina macbook pro, so that's nice. I havent had a chance to push the GPU yet, but I'm sure it'll be plenty snappy compared to my 2012 model.

New Zealand based. Ordered 14 hours after launch, delivery estimate always 21-29 November. Just had full price pre-authorised on credit card about 30 mins ago, and order move to "Preparing for Shipment" a couple of minutes later.

Based on past experience, this looks like on track for delivery on 21 November, the first day of the original window.

Just go to the store and buy it if you want a config listed on apple.com. Every Apple store in my area has stock. Have them check other locations if yours doesn't have what you want.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

happy to say that mine came this morning. make sure to be home when your MacBook Pro arrives because TNT won't give the package to even the concierge and manager of my apartment building.

That sucks. Out of interest, your adapter does absolutely nothing if you plug it in? I'm sure you must have tried different wall sockets, right?

Completely off topic but are those shirts available for purchase at that store?
Yes! I picked one up. Only available at that store. They also sell coffee mugs, pens, water bottles, notebooks, and a few other fun things. All apple branded and priced like Apple would lol

Hi everyone - do any stores carry the 'ultimate' models yet? istocknow says no :( any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
