yesterday when I picked mine up at the store, I was the first to get one, Everyone went crazy about it. the employees insisted on me unboxing it in the store, and everyone gathered to see it, all the clients wanted to touch it, it was such a surreal scene, it's a laptop after all
Do you know if they have more in stock? I called Boylston earlier today and they told me they didn't have any in stock!!! That's not cool.
I took it to classes yesterday and it made quite an impression
Do you happen to know if it was a return? I just spoke with an Apple rep and was told that none of the stores would be carrying the new machines with 1TB drives. It seems that this may not be the case after all.
Finally came today! Picked it up at the store after my classes. 13 in 512 gb silver. Setting it up now and waiting for time machine to finish
I just picked up my 15" 2.9GHZ/1tb/Radeon 460, I was told these are their "Maxed out" models that they will be carrying in stores moving forward. My original order was for a 512GB instead of 1TB but oh well at least I have it now!
I was told the opposite. The 15" 2.9Ghz/1Tb/460 model will be sold stock in Apple Stores as the "Fully Specced" option (pending stock availability).
Of course mine arrives while I'm doing my fingernails! Now I have to wait for them to dry before opening it.
UPS man was funny - he did the "The Big Bang Theory" knock on the front door.
(The default sign is "Do not knock without an appointment" or something like that. So I taped a printout on the sign with the UPS logo + "This doesn't apply to you - Please knock!"
I asked UPS man how many of these he was delivering. He said, " a lot of them - what are they? "
I thought his using the Big Bang Theory knock meant that he knew he was the Laptop Deliverer. Oh well.

Does migration assistant usually slow down at the end? It went from transferring 50-90 MB/s to less than 10
For people like me who are in the 3-4 week area like me (29th to 6th) cause I gotta feeling we may get P4S or at least a charge!
For those of you that received your macs today, what sort options do we have for cases/sleeves. Not seeing a ton of accessories available.

Confirmation email at 7:35pm. I'd just take it coming at the beginning of the scheduled window at this point, I know some are being quoted delivery dates after their delivery range Apple provided...
Edit: Mine is the stock model with 512GB, if that makes any difference.
Finally got my maxed out 15 inch MBP today! But, there were flickering horizontal lines... Sigh... I think the GPU is shot. Spent 2 hours with Apple and sent it back today via FedEx. Back to the end of the queue... Oh well, life is good still! This is definitely a first world problem.
