I received the very same email notice today via email for my fully spec'd out 15" Space Gray MBP. It was slated to arrive Nov 25 now changed to Dec 5. I also placed my order online at Apple shortly it came online as well.

The upside: not standing in line on Black Friday to pick up our Macs!

That's true, but the downside is will I still have a functional computer by the time the new MBP arrives. I've been putting off purchasing a replacement for a long while due to a mfg defect Apple refuses to fix with all the early 2011 models. Three times my machine has gone in for service under and out of warranty (but covered) and it's still not really resolved. Refer to MacRumor discussion's Graphics Card Lawsuit.

There's a "Snapnator" Kickstarter that has a high demand of backers for a magnetic adapter slated to go out early next year.

On the negative side, the thunderbolt 3 power adapter is really snug and I have a young child at home who is already trying to yank it out... Hopefully somebody will come up with a 85W magsafe adapter... The one on Amazon is only rated to 60W and the 15" macbook pro has an 87W adapter.

My original order was 2.6/512/460. Once the geek bench scores started stacking up I realized the processor bump was probably more important than the video card bump. Turns out the apple engineers actually picked good configurations to offer stock.
u got the 2.9?

It's actually not that unreasonable. Lots of case manufacturers have cases ready on day one for new iPhones too. They are either given advance dimensions (big companies like Belkin who Apple carries in their own stores), or they just take dimensions for part leaks and hope for the best. And Apple doesn't just send review units, they also send units to accessory makers. For example, I e-mailed Startech a while back to ask about compatibility and they said they were "currently testing" with the new MBP; and this was a week before anyone had theirs.

So it's not too crazy to think that there could be companies already shipping or at least accepting pre-orders on cases. There's incentive to be first-to-market with some of this stuff; so these companies have learned how to turnaround a product QUICK.
please link me the cases to the new macbook then smarty pants

I got my ordered shipped today under this number by UPS 784693408980
