I had this concern last week and did a chat with customer service. They said the Barclayscard didn't need to be charged within the 30 days since the purchase was booked when I ordered on 10/27. FWIW, I had the same timeframe and my MBP is PFS as of Wednesday but still hasn't shipped. Hopefully, your machine is coming soon as well.

Good to know. I'm in the same boat and my 30 days expires on the 8th of Dec.

Apple charged my card but estimated delivery isnt until Dec 26-30th for me. Im kinda dissapointed because i was planning on cancelling and buying a mbp in store today

Generally they don't charge you till right before shipping. It could be just a payment authorization.

Anyone know if FedEx has a flight out of Shanghai tonight/tomorrow? They took possession of my BTO 13" this morning (ET) with a scheduled delivery for Wednesday. However, when I arranged for pick-up at a FedEx office store the FedEx employee said it would likely arrive Monday. That seems unlikely unless, it's airborne tonight.

December 19th due date and I hope it ships early. Ordered 11/4. Can't wait, I'm tired of carrying around my iMac ;)

If you live near an Apple Store, you might wanna go check if they have that exact config in stock. My local Apple Store had them.

15 inch 1tb, 460 gpu. I originally ordered the first day but cancelled to change it to 1tb. Then i cancelled again to change it to the 460 lol

Btw, what am i supposed to say to the person i talk to. Do i straight up just ask them for faster shipping?

Check local Apple Stores if you have any near you. I bought that exact model on Thursday in an Apple Store in Pittsburgh. You would be best to go in and politely ask them to check in the back for you.

Just a suggestion guys/gals

If you live near an Apple Store and have yet to be charged, run over there. They have a lot of variations in stock (at least in the US). It might be faster to just pick it up and cancel the online order. Many stores don't report their stock acurately over the phone

Ended up changing my order to silver instead of space grey. Estimated delivery is Dec 28th-Jan3rd now. The person i was chatting with told me that there may be a chance it could come earlier than expected but wasnt promising anything. I hope that since more people are ordering Space Grey instead of Silver mine might have a chance of coming earlier :)

so wait if u change ur current order it will push it to a later date?

Check now. Someone had the order date column filtered to only a certain date. I can't guarantee it won't be filtered again when you look! Lol.

Thanks for sorting things out @justywusty. Good to see where I stand in the scheme of things once again!

Now if only there was a way to get my new machine earlier than Dec 14th! (Ordered Oct 31st) Here's hoping!

Doesn't appear to make much difference whether one has it go to themselves or to the Apple Store. I ordered my BTO 15" fully spec'd out machine on 10/27 to the Apple Store. Initially it was processed to arrive Nov. 25 but they emailed me and changed it to Dec. 5.

Anyone know how long "shipping to store" takes? My estimate says November 28, but 9 days seems excessive...

I'm super happy for those of you that are popping into your local Apple Store and walking out with your dream machine, but it really bums me out because the nearest Apple Store is over an hour from me (plus traffic) and that is a huge time commitment to take a chance and hope one is there. I know Apple cannot hold stock for me, but I wish I could confirm that the model I want is actually in stock before I commit to the drive.

15" SG 2.9 1TB 460.

C'mon Apple, throw this dog a bone!

y u no keep space grey no u ahve to wait till nxt year
I went to the apple store today and liked the silver one more

I think that config is actually in a lot of stores. There are three stores where I live and the only higher end configuration they had were the max cpu with 1tb and 160 gpu
