2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

My 13" BTO arrived in Shanghai (I'm in Toronto, original delivery window of Nov 25-Dec 2).

Finally got moved and charged to PFS last night! Ordered my 15BTO everything maxed out except 1TB... space grey on the 28th in the morning.
Does anyone know how long it takes before it'll ship out?
 
Ordered yesterday on B&H for a default configuration(base) just for testing, says it will arrive tomorrow?!

That's weird, I had ordered online, with Education discount, the base model for pick up in store when at became available. So, when I get to the store I asked to see if they had the one with the specs I really wanted and they had it. So, the guy asked for the college ID, applied the discount in the new one and I paid just the difference.
 
Anyone here who visited a german apple store?
Do they have MBP Touchbar at stock or at least Touchbar show models?
 
Just walked out of the Apple Store here in Mission Viejo CA. They said any 13" TB with 16 GB RAM will be a special order and the stores around here will only have 8GB RAM models. Bummer. Now to wait 2ish weeks.

I just got off the phone with the centralized business team call center and after speaking with him for a few moments and explaining that I wanted to minimize my down-time, he totally agreed and said the business team at my local store would be glad to help me out. He gave me their email address and I just wrote them a moment ago. I imagine that I will hear back from them on Monday or Tuesday and we can look at options from there.

Tough to say. Another member here is also from Ontario and their order was PFS on Friday and shipped on Sunday (we were thinking our new machines would be travel buddies but guess not).

yeah i saw that exchange... so strange. FREAKING SHIP IT GUYS! lol.
i also wonder why so long to get to you in canada? im in dallas, i figured if the thing shipped today it would be here by friday.
that's what happened with my iphone 7, anyways.
 
How robust are these machines? My 15" MBP was still sealed in the box standing on its side on a table when it fell face down (still on the table). There is less padding in the box than I would have thought (essentially none on one side). Everything seems fine, but it still has me worried after spending >$3500.

They're robust lol. Look up the vlogger Casey Neistat on YouTube... Look at how he's opened every single one of his macs lol. Wait here ya go.....

No idea... when I pre-ordered the iPhone 7, it only took 3 days to arrive. My 13" BTO is showing as UPS Worldwide Expedited and my iPhone 7 was shipped with UPS Worldwide Express Saver (though in both cases, I just choose "standard" shipping with Apple).

Yeah, Apple's shipping methods are all very confusing to me LOL. Everything seems to be different. I don't know what to expect!
 
I did a mock UPS shipment from Shanghai to Toronto and it would seem that UPS Worldwide Expedited is the 'slowest' (yes.. slower than "Express Saver", thanks for the ever-so-clear naming convention UPS).

I know how you feel. I didn't order until November 10 and I'm looking at delivery between Dec 19-23. I keep hoping it some how gets delivered much earlier.
