Based on my experience, always before the 1st date. Mine is shipping 12 day earlier than my estimate. Rarely do you get it on the 2nd date, unless there is a delay or severe backorders

Ordered 15" maxed except for 1TB. 11:42PDT on the 27th. Apple's estimate for me in Northern Canada was Nov 24-30. Being delivered today on Nov 18th. Way to go Apple and UPS!! UPS had to truck it up to me the last 2 days...I was prepared for delivery to slip to the 21st but very happy it made it.

how long did it take from the day it shipped to get to you?
 
If there's stock in almost all Apple stores, shouldn't there be some movement in stock orders for Dec 5-9 soon? I can't go to an Apple store here in Germany and pick one up because I need the Spanish keyboard

I would of thought so, but im in the same window without my bank not even being charged yet!

No because the store would have placed an order themselves.

I had no idea, but when I mentioned that I was after a new MBP too, she mentioned that the Business Team usually get new kit earliernto the store for Business customers only. At that point I said I was happy for them to take my email address....why not. Had a mail a little while back asking if there was anything I needed help with. But didn't need anything. Today I got another. I responded with 'don't suppose you've got any new MBP's coming in?'. 5 minutes later....'yes we have, they are coming into store tomorrow, would you like us to give you a call'.

You can all guess my email response.

No idea what specs they are getting in....didn't want to tempt fate by asking!

Anyone order on or around November 7th and have any movement? Shows 4-5 weeks, but with a delivery of Dec 15-21, which doesn't add up from the date of purchase (4-5 from Nov 7 should be Dec 2-9).

I ordered the same configuration on the 6th with a delivery date of 7-13th Dec. However my delivery is going to New Zealand and I have no idea how Apple decides to alocate different shipments to different regions.
Currently no movement or CC charge.

It ships in 4-5 weeks, but the dates you're seeing are the delivery estimate.

I ordered 15" BTO (512SSD, 460) at 8th Nov. 4-5 weeks dispatch, 29Dec-5 Jan delivery date to Turkey...

It's tooooo long for waiting Apple.. Please, give my life back, this preorder thing totally ruined my life; countless status check on online store, I'm not focused my work, because my Mid2014 MacBook 15 already sold, because I thought preorder-delivery timeline is not too long (bad decision), my entire documents, files on the cloud with messy situation.. and my old late 2011 mb pro scream to give up for my daily work...
 
Just another thanks to the Martian and his comments on using Apple's Business team. I have a toy business and since this is my first Mac I wanted to make the PC-Mac transition prior to the holiday rush. I had originally ordered right after the keynote but cancelled a few days later since I wanted the 1TB and 460 upgrade which moved my dates till 14-20 Dec. I emailed my store's business team yesterday morning and received a response in two hours, saying they had a Space Gray 15" 2.9/1TB/460 ready for pick up. First thing I did upon getting home was to cancel my previous order, after unboxing my new Macbook of course!

How do you contact the business team at the store? Just call the main line and ask for it? Available in Canada?

Their email is [yourstorename]business@apple.com. Not sure if its available in Canada but I read some postings that it some in the UK were using it, so I suspect it is likely in Canada. I sent them a note from my business email.

Yes there are business teams in Apple Stores across Canada. They also have a dedicated phone line for business in stores. Our business is in Québec and we always go through the Business team for orders. They have special financial solutions for big orders too. You should call your local Apple Store and ask for the business team.
