I feel like people who ordered on the website got screwed.

I just walked into the Apple store yesterday and picked one up the space grey 15-inch, 2.7GHz, 512GB, Radeon Pro 455 instantly.

I asked them and there seems to be plenty of stock for most models. They also have some higher custom models in stock that aren't listed. When the guy checked, he said there were a few 15-inch 2.9GHz, 1TB, Radeon Pro 460.

No 3-4 week wait like the website.

Yeah... Only problem is you can only pick up at a store, right? The FedEx station has to ship it to the store (just like it would be shipping to your house)... At least that's how it was all explained to me in detail by Keith of International Shipping at FedEx on the phone yesterday when I tried to get expedited shipping hahaha
Let's think positively... New you can have a good holiday and then enjoy the new macbook ... It's like two holidays in a row. LOL

Updated signature. I did a walkin got the only unit in Arizona yesterday. Cancelled my BTO but lesson learned folks never I mean never use a debit card to order online with Apple. My money is frozen for 10 days in a pre authorization . Even called my bank. My 3600 bucks are in freaking limbo . Apple charges your debit card but credit cards don't get charged till it ships. I'm pretty pissed off. So don't order with a debit card. Capice

I am one of those online orders that got screwed by the wonderful game Apple is playing. They tell you it is taking so long because they are building it just for you if you up any of the specs. That is crap. I am running out of patience and am about ready to cancel and quit the game.

I would do the same, except I live too far away from an Apple Store for this to be feasible. So, I'm sitting here at home, waiting for my order status to change. Sigh!

I am on the phone right now with another specialist at Apple and he says he is in the business section but willing to see what he can do. He is saying what I have already said.

Is there anybody who ordered stock model (13 MBP TB) and still waiting for delivery window in US?
What is the reason we can not have our stock models although stores are full of them? Or when I try to order a stock model from website it gives end of december for delivery despite I can walk 3 blocks to pick one from the store right now?

If you're able to get to an Apple Store and buy it directly there, that's probably the right way to go. You can still cancel your web order if it hasn't moved to P4S. The config I want isn't carried in stores so I had no choice but to order directly from Apple.

For all who ordered a 15" with the radeon 460 - dosnt it worry you with the people reporting flickering on the screen?

Im thinking of ordering a 13"

What are you thoughts?

For BTO models that I agree. But for stock models why is there still a waiting time for web orders despite stock models are available in stores everywhere in the country?

Just picked up my MBP at the store! 5 days ahead of schedule (order status said Nov 28)--went into shipping on Sunday and arrived here in Boston today at noon.

Honestly for every complaint there are hundreds running just fine. I run a photo forum and it's exactly the same. Not saying there are no issues but many times it's user error. Systems get curupted or some software don't play well together. Worst is I just bought it and turned it on. Hell where we perfect out of the belly of our mothers. LOL

You have to give these systems a chance to settle out too. Just got my TB2 to USB c cable for my Pegasus and NEC monitor fired right up

Which country? My local UK store only has the 13" models in-stock.

Thats the ridiculous thing. Especially for stock models why is there still a waiting time for web orders despite stock models are available in stores everywhere in the country?
