2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Ordered a MBP 15 TB, 460 graphics, 2 Tb storage on Nov 4, still on Processing Items. Showing delivery Dec 12-16 to Mississauga, Canada. I'm wondering if there was a gap in progress for many people in the last few days because they found a solution for the battery life problem some are reporting and are implementing it.

I also wonder if the 2TB storage is in low availability in my case. I opted for 2 TB because i feel that is the limiting factor for the computer being useable for up to 7 years like my previous 2010 MBP (with a 1TB drive I installed a few years ago) has been. I have a LOT of high res pictures and I want them all on the MBP, instantly accessible, instead on the cloud (gobbling up my data allowance) or an external drive. Pay once, enjoy forever! Or, I may be an idiot!

I'm in a similar boat. I ordered the same spec as you (2TB/460) on the 7th Nov. I expect our machines will be made in the same batch. My dates are 13-19 Dec and I've seen no movement yet. That sounds like a familiar internal debate you're having there, I have done the same thing. Ultimately I chose the 2TB for the convenience of not having an external or hammering my phone data.

Anyone notice something weird with UPS? It looks like it made it to Buffalo and then went back to Louisville, KY. It's meant to be delivered in Toronto on Tuesday.

i dont know why it went back to Louisville, but you're lucky yours actually had movement on Saturday. Mine hasn't moved since Friday. A little annoyed lol

Some of the laptops have been shipped directly form the manufacturer in china, while others have been shipped from their local Apple shipping center. This shouldn't worry you too much. You will likely be receiving the laptop earlier since it is shipped to you directly in your country/continent, depending on where you live

It has been mentioned a couple of times earlier. So basically, people put in their order date in the relevant sub-sheet (or what it is called) with the machine they've ordered, date, shipping date, and so forth

Mine had been bouncing back and forth from Shanghai and Osaka the past several days. Doesn't make any sense. UPS pushed my expected delivery day back one already. ETA is Dec 7. I suspect maybe after that now.

Thought you'd just like to know if you're like me hitting refresh on the UPS page every hour and are frustrated his long the computer sits at each stop.

I think the delivery window stated on the website is what you should expect - get it early, and be pleasntly suprised! otherwie I'm afraid to let you down

Last week there was a small flurry of people who seemed to be getting shipping notices 4 or 5 days earlier than expected, but that trend seems to have stopped completely.

Lately, however, it seems like most people are getting them inside the originally quoted shipping window.

I didn't receive any notice when it went from Processing -> Preparing for shipment. I just kept checking the app on my phone!

Yes, it was definitely charged before the status changed. That's what prompted me to check the app! Good question.

Completely not ok with Apple shipping orders placed a week after mine before me. Local store has last year model in stock, going to pick it up today. Super excited about my magsafe and sd + it's literally $1000 less. Enjoy your $1000 touchbars guys!
