I'm the same situation as all german fellas.
On sunday Apple was preparing shipment, and yesterday was finally shipped!
Right now is still in Eindhoven, but estimated delivery for friday!
3 days before the first estimated date (23 - 30 january).
Amazing!

Mine was shipped on Saturday. Still in Eindhoven at 'Shipment information received' stage.

My initial delivery date was 20-24 and now it shows as 23rd which is a bit disappointing as i was expecting to receive it this week. I think there is still a chance I get it this week as it should only take a day to get to London once they arrive in Eindhoven.

I find quite "curious" this thing about Eindhoven. So Apple have some kind of great warehouse in Netherlands for all the North-Europe country?
I thought everything was coming directly from China.

They do! They used to use UPS to ship from the factory to the customer. You could track your Mac all the way and it took about three days. I believe they still use this process for shipments to the US.

These days all European orders are shipped to the warehouse, possibly still by UPS, and are then handed over to DHL to deliver to the customer. Takes a day or two extra unfortunately.

Why Apple does it this way? Probably because it's cheaper for them :)

Funny sidenote: shipments to the Netherlands from the warehouse in the Netherlands often travel via Brussels (Belgium). Eindhoven > Brussels > Amsterdam.

The status of mine on the Apple website has changed to "Preparing handover to final carrier". No change on DHL yet but i am expecting that to change later on today.

Probably because DHL has a major hub in Brussels ;-)

Mine is being delayed, because of issues with my credit card. It tried to authorize the money on saturday, but because my bank somehow re-defaulted my credit card limit I had to do a little bureaucracy. Preparing for shipment now, so probably 3 days of delay. :/ But according to the times of you people it should still arrive sooner than the estimated 01/26-02/06 window :)

After months of waiting, mine is finally "in transit" and is supposed to arrive at the apple store on January 23d, a week before the previously listed date. I'm flying to France to pick it up (not just for the computer). I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. And to think just yesterday my 2009 macbook started having some graphic glitches. This'll be in the nick of time.

Hello guys, @WRONG don't worry. I've had same situation on Monday.
Drop an e-mail or call Apple support and they can contact DHL for you. They'll ask where your shipment is.

My DHL # status didn't change until the very delivery date - which was 3 days faster than it said on their page.

By the way, good to be here. Hello everyone.

Mine is scheduled "in time", delivery expected on friday, but DHL tracking says it's still in Eindhoven.
What's going on, DHL?

It probably says 'shipment information received'. Most likely the MacBook isn't even in Apple's warehouse in Eindhoven yet. It just means Apple has told DHL to expect a package there. Your laptop is somewhere en route from China to Eindhoven by another carrier than DHL, probably UPS. Next step will be that the actual package is handed over to DHL. Will probably happen tomorrow, since there is no point in storing it for a day. From that moment the DHL tracking will start to work and they can deliver almost anywhere in Europe within 24 hours.

And this is why you really shouldn't check your shipping too often.

Originally Jan 25-28th, updated to Jan 19th, slipped to Jan 20th and now slipped again to Jan 23rd...

Quit playing games with my heart!!!

What spec did you get, out of curiosity? Keen to understand whether my Radeon 460 has any chance of coming sooner!

If it helps, I ordered a MBP with the 460 on 1 Jan. Estimated delivery was 25 Jan-1 Feb. Currently on track for delivery tomorrow (19 Jan).

Good lord! My wait is almost over. I FINALLY got my shipping notification today for my max spec 15" that I ordered on November 21st. It'll arrive almost exactly two months to the day I ordered it. I have my new LG 5K monitor, an Ergotech monitor arm, and dongles all ready. I just need the MBP now.

I am really struggling with which HuB to buy

Satechi? HyperDrive? Arc? Something I haven't even heard of?

Really like the idea of having just one hub, need HDMI, SD and USB...

I'm torn too and in the end, I decided that I just can't decide right now with so little concrete information about how reliable any of them are so I'm just going to go with a multi-port USB3 dongle and a few USB-C->USB-A adapters for at least a few months until a clear winner or at least more info comes through.

We ordered 3 MBP via our university contractor. Quite regular models.. 2x 13" touchbar models (one of which got 1 TB), 1x15" just added with 16MB RAM. Ordered 17th of November. ETA was 4-6 weeks, still haven't heard a thing - no tracking at all. Called the university's contractor they said they have not heard from Apple or the distributor yet. Shipping to Germany. Anybody else ordered via a distributor for corporates / companies?
Same here...
There is a seperate thread for this: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macbook-pro-2016-reseller-order-thread.2020143/

This was my first and last time ordering from a reseller...

Yup, I ordered via a reseller. Order placed on Nov 21st. ETA was 4-6 weeks. I finally got my shipping notice yesterday. It'll arrive almost exactly two months from my order date. It seems that Apple might be prioritizing direct sales over resellers.
