13" touch keyboards are hard

Hopefully us Europeans are processed soon! The fact that even the people who have been charged still haven't gone to preparing for shipment yet is a good sign for us I think.

It looks like the BTOs are getting charged (nice work, Columbo). It makes me wonder if they are literally working on building your machine as you are getting charged. I'm getting a base 13" TB (which I'm probably going to return for an upgraded one). No charge yet.

I haven't been charged yet. Ordered base model 13" in space grey within 30 minutes of keynote ending. In the US fwiw.

My card got charged this morning! Of course Capital One flagged it as potentially being fraudulent. Hopefully it doesn't hold up anything. Mine is a BTO 15", ordered on the 27th around 5:47pm (because I cancelled my first order). Order Status is still on Processing Items though.

And, because you guys like to have proof of everything:

This morning I was in limbo what to purchase...

-- XPS 13 9360 base with 3 years warranty + 3 years accidental cover for £1070
-- XPS 13 9360 QHD/16gb/512gb with 3 years warranty + 3 years accidental damage cover for £1570
-- Wait till January for the Kabylake x360 Spectre
-- Go for the base rMBP 13" no touch bar base with Applecare for £1415
-- Go with rMBP 13" no touch bar 16gb/512gb with Applecare for £1750

I ended up just ordering a 13" touch bar 3.1ghz/16gb/512gb with Applecare instead at £2112 *rolls eyes*... Not sure if that was the right decision... Could have bought 2 base XPS 13 for same cost!

At that price point, I do wonder if I should have just paid £500 more for the rMBP 15" with RX 460 - but I am too weary about battery life with dGPU.

My card was charged as well, but that doesn't mean the order is about to ship as there is no change in status.

So this is happening now:

im guessing if you have not been charged yet there is still the possibility of being charged throughout the day if you are in the 15th-22nd or 17th-25th delivery date range.

OK, Sir, your order has just been escalated to the Super Fast Track! Hold hold tight until your new MBP arrives!

Mine had not charged when I went to bed last night, but I see it on my card this morning. I had ordered my BTO 15" within about 3 minutes of the store going online after the keynote.

I do find it amusing, on a separate note, that we have so many people who immediately ordered and eagerly awaiting their new Macbooks. A stark contrast to all the negativity surrounding the new model.

The only thing I don't like about the new one other than price is that I'll be running on a downgraded iGPU whenever I don't have my monitor plugged in or am not plugged into power. So long as the UI still moves at 60 fps though I'm good. Now if only Nest would update its video to not use flash...

I maxed out on the MBP and I have a Nov 17 - Nov 25 delivery window. Credit card has not been hit yet for this. I've already talked with my credit card company, letting them know of the large charge that will appear soon from Apple. Hopefully, they won't screw up and deny the charge. Also, I wonder if the 2TB option will cause any additional delay. I'm a worry wart, I know.

It sounds like the Asia order that got charged were a few hours ahead of us. I wonder if any of their statuses changed to PFS.

Apple is pretty corny for working on the BTO ones first. Might as well get the mass manufacturer stock ones out and then work on the BTOs. Smh

Seems that there are more BTO items requested then non. Also, considering the 2-3 week delay, it could be possible that all orders are technically BTO (i.e., they calculate how many of each config are made and queue them up accordingly on the assembly line). I don't seem to see any people with 1/2TB SSDs being charged (I'm in the 1TB camp btw), which would obviously be a low number of orders.

So my original expected delivery time was between 9-11 November
So apple just sent me a message that my shipment is on its way and expected delivery date is 15 Nov. Da hell apple, i already had to wait over a week and now I should wait more
