Given all the injuries befalling the patriots this season, I'm very surprised to see the Patriots trade the backup QB, plus given all the talk about how great he is, why only a second round draft pick?

Because he will be a free agent next year and the Patriots would have to pay $20 million to franchise tag him or let him walk now and get something in return.

True,
I forgot about that - good point.

Cleveland offered more at the beginning of the season, but Tom is 40, so there was a bit of uncertainty. Now that Brady shows that the wheels aren't coming off any time soon, BB had to settle for a lesser deal. I say it's a win/win for BB and the Niners, barring injury to Tom. No messy contract talk for BB and the Niners get to give Jimmy an extended test drive. (I wished my Texans had given Brock Osweiler a test drive before handing over $17M a year to dat bum). No chance of another Matt Flynn (480 yds, 6TD in one game:eek:, then fizzled out in Seattle:rolleyes:).

Ezekiel Elliot to have suspension reinstated. I was hoping it would be on hold for 2 more weeks so the seahawks face a Cowboys with Elliot.

I have heard/read that the players union is going to try and stop the suspension from being reinstated. I hope they succeed as he has carried my fantasy team the past two weeks.

How 'bout dem Browns?
Talk about the Keystone Kippers of the NFL. The screwed up the paperwork's in their trade with the Bengals. Turning in the paperwork to trade for A J McCarron after the trade deadline. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are the running?
The owner should fire the entire front office; clean house.

THis DePodesta thing is a disaster. When you look at what Ryan Pace did with the Bears, there is just no excuse for the Browns to fail over and over and over.
