The Mets have logged 4-6-3 DP's in four consecutive innings tonight, I wonder what the record is...

EDIT: deGrom with a CG 5-hitter, game completed in 2:23. THAT'S how baseball is supposed to be!

Record is 7 double plays in one game, victim: Giants.
I was watching Mets vs. Cubs too, Chicago broadcast - they shared that. Dunno how many were 4-6-3

So the Red Sox have cut ties with the Panda. They never should have signed him to begin with.

I hate this season so much.

Enjoying watching that Judge kid.

Too bad he is a yankee.

Still not 100% convinced he isn't one of Marvel Comics super soldiers come to life!

Watch the Giants sign him...

Hope those who are D-back fans are happy because the Tigers gave you JD Martinez really cheap. What the heck was Avila and Ausmus thinking ... getting 3 young unproven prospects.

Been there, done that with a fire sale. And it's never worked out well. Getting Fulmer was the best trade in years and there's talk of letting him go  . We have no bullpen nor closer who's dependable.

The team talk the other day lit a match under their bats. Sooner than later it too will die out and the Tigers will once again be in the basement.

Long 2nd half coming that reminds me of the 90s. Wash, rinse and repeat.

I'd take Leyland back but he knows better than to get aboard a sinking ship.

I just want to say..

deGrom is ON FIRE. 8 straight starts with a decision and win (hasn't started and lost since June 6), only had one game in that stretch where he gave up more than 2 runs.

He changed his routine between starts and it's paying off - BIG TIME.

...and the NL Central, the Cubs, of course, the way it's supposed to be. I was at last night's 11-inning edge-of-the-seat thriller. Cubs now guaranteed to leave Milwaukee in first place. The crowd was at least 60% Cubs fans. We sang "Go Cubs Go" on the way out. Braun was booed, "Let's go Cubbies" was heard more than "Brewers", and Take Me Out to the Ball Game was decidedly "root, root, root for the Cubbies".

Indians vs Nationals

Anyone want to call who will be in the World Series this year?

Astros vs Dodgers
or
Yankees vs Dodgers

i like you dude.

but i hate this post with all my heart.

especially that last bit... it would be a classic rivalry rematch but i want niether team to reach that level of success again... ever.

The Dodgers are the first team since 1912 to register 43 wins in a 50 game stretch in a single season since 1912. Sadly - I was in the park for this milestone yesterday but as a Mets fan. It was an exciting game though, 15 hits and 9 of them went over the wall. The game started fast - 3 HR's by the Mets in the first, then they fell flat offensively.

The White Sox have a bizarre problem. Currently, it is in their best interest to lose as much as possible to improve their draft position but a bunch of young talent is bubbling over in the minor leagues.
