I just pointed out that another company presented similar technology slightly ahead of Apple.

Why would I feel better about it? If anything, sadness comes to mind.
Presented is a carefully chosen word. Apple presents it's new offerings at the September reveal. Companies who present their offerings sooner, don't necessarily have a jump on Apple.

Personally I don’t consider looks when buying an iPhone. I’m more interested in what features/capabilities it has.

While this large camera square seems a little odd to me (proportions look weird) in comparison to previous iPhones, it’s nothing that will influence my decision to buy.

I’ve loved all of the looks of every iPhone, even the X when they introduced the notch. I bought every iPhone from 4S to X on launch day and waited 18 months to upgrade to the XS Max, because of the cellular issues. I love my XS Max and hope this is not the final look for this year’s iPhones.

With all due respect there is no reason replace a XS Max this year anyway.

There isn’t a reason to replace a XS Max this year, and I always say I’m not upgrading every year, but the upgrade bug always bites and it’s hard to not upgrade. I waited 18 months to upgrade to the XS Max from the X. I was looking over my device last night and realized how much more the gold color is beautiful. I’m leaning more towards waiting until next year to upgrade, if Qualcomm is back in the iPhones.

Nearly 8 years dead. It's not been Steve Jobs Apple for a long time. Let it go.
Steve Jobs was gone from Apple for 12 years and we saw what kind of company it became in his absence. Jobs was Apple's visionary and he set the standards. Without him, Apple has become just another tech company without the attention to detail and envelope pushing the company had with him at the helm. So no, I won't "let it go."

Do you plan on bringing him back? Otherwise as a consumer you only have two real choices, continue to support Tim Cooks Apple with your money or spend it elsewhere.

I don't disagree with your opinion but it is something of a dead horse to keep reminding everyone of Steve Jobs visionary skills as the man is long passed. The only constant is change and Apple has changed.
