According to reports, the Jaguars have hired Urban Meyer as their new head coach.

Curious to see how he does in the NFL. I'm surprised it's taken this long for him to transition, being such a legendary College coach. I was also thinking the Jags might pull a curve ball in the draft and get Justin Fields but then I realized Urban didn't recruit him... He transferred to OH ST in 2019 after Meyers was gone.

Picks for this weekend...

Saints over the Buccaneers
Packers over the Rams
Bills over the Ravens
Browns over the Chiefs

Total opposite for me with the exception of the packers

Bucs over the Saints

question what is your reasoning for the Browns beating the chiefs? I just don't see how the Browns can win that game, Andy Reid is almost automatic with an extra week to prepare and the Chiefs just have too much firepower for that Browns defense.... I also think the Browns played their Super Bowl last week with that huge win over Pit and are set for a huge letdown here.

On any given Sunday...

Ah..... The Steelers..... Big Ben had both an incredible amount of passing yardage and bunch of interceptions.

I'm not sure what they need to do, but there is something seriously wrong with the offensive player development regarding getting a running game going.

The defense has been driving me crazy for years though. The old "let them have three to five yards on every down and then be surprised they've got another first down" defense has turned into a "let them get right down into the red zone and hope to stop them there" defense.

Would like to see the Brows win. All they have to do is not screw up. The problem with the Chiefs is, they're not winning... the other team is always losing. Usually the other team plays really well in the first half, then they screw up which allows the Chiefs to make a comeback and win. This whole thing started in the playoffs last season. We've seen that numerous times with the Patriots in the past few years, but they always came back stronger in the second half. The Chiefs don't come back stronger, the other team starts to make horrible mistakes.

If anything, we'll see a faitly even game or maybe even the Browns leading only to come back in the second half and screw it up.

That being said, Packers made it as predicted. Wasn't a very exciting game, all well controlled by the Packers.

I don’t know where these podcasts get their confidence, some of them are saying the Rams are going to beat the Packers in Lambeau. Now, last year my gambling skills sucked 😁, but there’s no way I see the Rams coming into a colder climate and one of the most difficult stadiums to play in and defeat a team that’s been on fire pretty much the whole season?

I’ve got the Packers winning this one, with a pointspread of less than 12.
Good game with the Packers. Wasn’t anything stellar to watch, but I think the Rams gave a valiant effort, but Aaron Rodgers is just way too talented and their offense was on fire. Plus, playing in Lambeau is never easy.

No matter what happens in the Sunday games
NFC Championship: both Veteran in the pocket QBs
AFC Championship: both Young, mobile QBs

I wonder if that's happened before. (conferences reversed counts too)

Interesting perspective, I hadn't thought of it like that.

Wow, some really bad and game changing calls in favor for the Chiefs there. But that’s the Chiefs, luck and nothing but luck.

Tyreek Hill is something else... Henne is not making very good throws, but he finds a way to catch them.....

Losing Mahomes was extremely unlucky... but their defense is trying to preserve the lead...
Maybe, but it's not a bad call by the refs that decides a game. One bad call (catch but it wasn't) came back later, when the same thing happened for the Browns. That leaves the call that cost the Browns a touchdown and resulted in a fieldgoal for for Chiefs. Bummer, hopefully the Bills can make it next week.

So, Brady vs Brees next. Would like to see the Saints win, but then again, I never expected the Tampa Bay Bradys to make it to the playoffs. What a surprise it would be if they'd make it to the championship game and then maybe...

In the end, I'd like to see the Packers win the SB, but Saints or Buccs would be ok too.

I am a lifelong Bills fan, so I am really happy that they’re going to the AFC Championship and I hope they win their first ever Super Bowl this year!

So....

#12 [Brady] v.s. #12 [Rodgers], both quarterbacks were asked in a blog two years ago who they thought was the most talented quarterback in the league, they both commented on each other.

I honestly would rather see the Saints versus the Packers, but I do think this should be a decent match up between both the Buccaneers and Packers. If I had to call it now, I would say Green Bay wins by a point spread of ~10.

[And I’m still calling it as I did weeks ago, it’s Packers versus Chiefs in the Super Bowl.]

Not a pretty ending for Brees. I wonder if he'll think about it and push for one more season. No one want's to go out with a game like this. 🤷‍♂️

But isn't Aaron Rodgers still a reasonably mobile quarterback? 🤔
Yes, but it's not often that he looks to run, or even roll out. Now, he did run for a TD in the last game. It was a short yardage situation, and he was really looking to pass, but couldn't find anyone open.

I so wanted to see the Saints win this one. Drew didn't look sharp, I wonder if the ribs are still giving him problems. I too wonder if this was really his last game...

For the remaining games:

Chiefs* and Bucc's in the Super Bowl...

*If Mahon can stay healthy! Hopefully he doesn't get hurt again...
