So what are we betting this weekend ? a double 1/2 for the mercs or RB can do something with Max? I think Qualifying is going to be a lock for the mercs , hoping for some fighting in the front of the race , if lewis gets poll he will run away with it for sure.

I think Stroll is going to do well this weekend , hoping he can race the RB`s and we can have some fights for a podium !
Who wouldve thought i would be relying on Stroll to give me an exciting weekend , I am desperate !

For the folks wanting to have fueling back , i think its a gimmick to try and create excitement due to not having it on track , there were seasons in F1 where the overwhelmingly overtakes were done in the pits , i hate those days and even the fake overtaking via DRS is better.

Personally, I wouldn't want to sift through lots of huge posts about events I have no interest in to get to the F1 posts.

As for what you said about Bottas. First, I want to clear I hope nobody contracts the virus. But it's just a fact it could throw up some interesting twists to the season.

I thought the whole F1 entourage were in their own bubble away from everything? But perhaps they get family in between and they could have passed it on?
That or the hotel they stayed in or something else. No way to be 100% safe.

I tend to disagree. Regarding DRS, you effectively have no chance to escape losing your place. It's just too much of a difference in speed.
Overtaking in the pits still needs some consistency on track from the drivers and a bit of genius from the team. Remember Budapest 1998 (Michael winning with 3 stops against wildly superior McLarens thanks to delivering what was essentially a 25 lap qualifying) or France 2004 (winning with 4 stops)?

I’d personally lose DRS and not introduce refuelling.
Personally I think 2022 will be a good reset for the sport. But one team will exploit the rule changes better than the rest to begin with. They always do.

I’d personally love to see a bit more freedom in the rules but it will never happen. I’d be in favour of a cuboid the car has to fit in, a maximum amount of fuel and kWh the car can start the race with and maximum downforce measured in an FIA wind tunnel at a variety of speeds

if a team wants 6 wheels:fine. If they want a V12: fine. But the costs would be immense. So it won’t happen

That's similar to what my uncle has been saying for years: Make a box the car has to fit in, set crash test standards it has to meet, and see what happens.

Nice to see Russell 1s faster than his team mate and through to Q2. He’s certainly looking good. Unusual to see Lewis spinning like that
Agreed. I think that’s handed Bottas the pole. He’s improved his qualifying, and is more than a match for Lewis over one lap.

1. Bot 2. Ham 3. Ver 4. Oco 5. Hul 6. Nor
Agree but I think 5 and 6 are harder to call. LeClerc in one of those spots for me.

oops!

I just did an edit, I meant Stroll, not Ocon.

But looking at the times right now... Ocon wasn't a bad guess..
