Good to see Lando up there. I bet tomorrow we see Lewis get more time on screen before the race than during it! First 5 laps, pit stops and last lap. Other than that he’ll be off somewhere else.

1 second JESUS .... I like Bottas a lot , but when Bottas EASILY demolishes Verstappen and Charles , what can you say ..... I am stuck loving a sport that has no competition for the top spot :( , and its REALLY getting to me , for god sakes at least I hope Bottas makes it an interesting WDC this year , 2016 was fun to watch even when you knew its going to be Mercs winning everything (90% of the wins were merc).

I know some of you enjoy the midfield battles and I appreciate it a lot as well , but for me its a by product of sitting down watching an F1 weekend , its a filler for me , sometimes its an amazing filler , but this is beyond control at the moment , 1 second....... just WOW , gratz to the Mercs for another 1/2 WDC and WCC , this year its going to be even worst then last year , and they might even be gunning for the McLaren record (winning all the races aside Monza).

Indeed. I’m sure the other teams are just at a loss.
Prediction: Lewis laps all but top 5.
Lewis was so dominant it might be possible for him to lead every lap (can he put and still come out in the lead starting on the mediums). If so he will go into a clear 1st position on number of races where a driver has lead every lap (currently he’s tied with Senna on 19). There are quite a few records up for grab this season. Most importantly overtaking Schumacher for total wins

2013 vs 2020. Amazing how much faster they are this year

also Russell penalised for not slowing under yellows. Leclerc let off for clearly unsafe release in the pits

Lol. Never. 22 years married. She suffers a lot with her food choices. We only eat chicken.

I can completely sympathize with you. My wife is allergic to beef, pork and turkey. We cook chicken and seafood at home.

we used to not be able to go out to eat as her allergies would prevent it. Interestingly, she went through a few months of acupuncture and that seems to have helped. She still can’t eat it (and I can’t cook burgers on the grill around her), but at least she can go to restaurants and be around it.

If I want tips on driving around a track fast, I'll ask Lewis for his advice.

If I want to know if a vaccine is safe to take, I'm probably going to stick with the chief medical officer (doctor). I suspect he'll know very little about fast driving!
Totally agree. It gets embarrassing when these celebrities feel the need to give opinions on these type of issue which are totally outside their field of expertise. I am a big supporter but want to see him concentrate on the driving.

The likes of Lewis Hamilton are very far removed from the rest of us in terms of the latest big issues in the world. I do cringe a bit when he posts about the struggles of BLM and airs his opinion on something he’s read from a propaganda news source. Then he’ll post a pic of himself in absolute paradise or training hard in the hills of Monaco. Meanwhile we are masking up to go to the supermarket or worrying about school opening times lol.

Don’t make any mistake though, none of this is distracting him from his driving. He’s always been a very committed racer and like most of them all this is forgotten when the pressure is on in the car. He’s probably the best racing driver of this generation regardless of having an amazing car but has developed into a bit of a self absorbed poser with the immense sums of cash he’s acquired over the past 13 years.

That Marc looks so dialled in at Silverstone I think it’ll be a miracle if Lewis doesn’t win today.

Only a crash will prevent a Merc win. Hopefully Bottas poses a challenge to keep it interesting.

No Nico.... :(

Again, they aren't going to get Nico on the grid in time to race.

At least Lewis is bringing attention to BLM, which is more than a lot of people are doing with their huge platforms. Is he not supposed to post any pics of wherever he might be in the world?

It’s up to him isn’t it?
Well you said he's far removed because he talks about BLM and posts pics from exotic locations. So are people with money who travel supposed to ignore issues? It shouldn't matter what your financial status is, if you're speaking up it's a good thing.

I am not suggesting what he should and shouldn’t post. I am just a fan of his that’s all.

Except you are. Because you said it makes you cringe talking about important issues one day while posting pics somewhere exotic the next.

Celebrities can't win. They get criticised if they keep quiet and get criticised if they speak up.

Just my opinion and I am happy to share it. I never said he couldn’t post what he does and can’t help if I cringe. This doesn’t take away from the fact he’s a fantastic racing driver.
