4/19PM Shipped: Got shipment email from FedEx that it would arrive by 4/22, then got shipment email from Apple that it would be delivered 4/28
When I check FexEx tracking says delivery is 4/24 from Shanghai. Thats probably the most accurate at this point.

No real activity in almost 3 days though.

Well, the good news is that my order arrived today!

The bad news is that I've tried WiFi Migration Assistant 3 times and it's either REALLY slow or it gets stuck, so tomorrow I'm going to Best Buy to pick up a USB-Ethernet adaptor to hook up a cable and get my data over.

The bad news is that I've tried WiFi Migration Assistant 3 times and it's either REALLY slow or it gets stuck, so tomorrow I'm going to Best Buy to pick up a USB-Ethernet adaptor to hook up a cable and get my data over.

In my experience, the best Migration Experience is using a clone of your old Mac saved to a USB SSD. Wireless takes forever. Ethernet is OK. But using a cloned drive can take literally minutes. I think it took 15 minutes to migrate about 150GB of data to my MacBook Air.

Status updated to 'preparing to ship' so it looks like it'll hit the 23rd/24th shipping date after all.

Oh well... At least I was able to schedule a confirmed two hour window (even though my package still says both 4/20 delivery and “date tentative”).

Here is my timeline so far:
MBA Space Gray i7/16/2TB
April 1 - Order Placed (Processing)
April 10 - Pending charge on card
April 13 - Preparing to ship
April 14 - Shipped

It’s on its way to the east coast (USA). Apple has always said it should arrive between the 21st and 28th. Hopefully UPS is right and I can get it a day early!

Did you end up receiving? Mine still in Taiwan estimated delivery was today

Update: Switched to "preparing to ship" on April 16th. Still doubt I'll get it by the end of the original window, but at least there's progress.

Update: It's been sitting in Shanghai for 6 days with no movement. I'll buy everyone here a beer if it gets here by Thursday.

When mine was sitting there, it sat there for 3-4 days. Once it departed, I got it within 24 hours. Once it says it departed, it will be delivered quick.

Delivered 4/21.

It arrived in the US late 4/15 and got to Lousville, KY early on 4/16. Sat there with multiple "import scans" until last night. Was apparently finally released by customs late 4/20 (even though tracking first said it was released 4/16) and was delivered today. Frustrating that it sat in a warehouse 5 hours from me for 5 days, but happy to have it.

Hey guys, soon to be a new Mac owner here so I went for the base model. I did a lot of video editing in the past on the iMac but am still pc at heart. I am currently venturing into the world of web dev now so I figure it better to transition sooner than later. Anywho, enough about me here are the details on my journey to MB acquisition.

I don't have that yet. But I'm hoping yours and mine will be on FDX5328 leaving in a few hours. That would get it into Memphis on Thursday for a Friday delivery.
