2020 MacBook Pro order status

Oh wow - our situations are very similar lol. I ordered a 2019 MBP on April 29th. It arrived on May 1st. I returned it on May 4th when the 2020s were announced. Had to wait for the refund to hit my account (it hit earlier this AM) to order the 2020.

I hope yours ships ASAP! :)

usually when they charge your card they ship it out within a day or two

The i7/32/2TB was the only BTO that was ready to ship for those who ordered early. A few have stated that this may be because Apple was planning to stock it in their retail stores (pre-pandemic) for an immediate pickup option or in-store purchase.

The other BTO options, like the i7/32GB/1TB I ordered, all had a minimum 2-week delivery time. I checked from very early the morning of the announcement and the soonest arrival date was always the 20th (I'm in the US). I'm glad that I was still able to get that date since I ordered later in the afternoon that same day. The times are now into June.

The i5 versions are shipping faster than the i7. Not sure if that means parts delays or something else, but the i7s seem to be coming a little later.

Thank you for the clarification. Glad to know my delay in ordering did not penalize me too much.

I agree, I also ordered a specd up MacBook Air and canceld waiting for the 13 inch pro.The way I see it a 14 inch would be nice but I was okay with the size of the Air. The only reason I didn’t pull the trigger was that the Air has poor thermal performance and gets easily throttled. the 13 inch pro (pricier model) has basic all the benefits of the air plus some.

Had the i7/16GB/512 2020 MBA first, but returned it after one day. Just could not stand the screen downgrade compared to my 2017 13" nTB MBP. I really hesitated ordering the 2020 MBP and actually have no real reason to upgrade except this: I sincerely HATE the butterfly KB, which has been replaced twice already. I want to keep my MacBooks as long as possible (5.9 years record for my 2011 13" MBP), so this time I went with the 10th gen i5, and the 1TB SSD, to "future proof". It was 2,143€ even with EDU discount - a hell of a lot money...!

Mine's still not even in the hands of DHL. As soon as they'll get possession of it, it should go fairly quick, though. Let's hope it's not too long until then!

This Canadian would also like some progress this week :) No cc charge but according to Apple phone support, it’s charged and will show when the item is shipped.

I’m i7/16/1TB, ordered May 4, scheduled delivery may 22-28, still processing.
 
For those in Europe who’ve received their new Pro already, did they come direct from China or from somewhere in Europe?

I’m in EU but at Moment the estimated shipping is always 20 of May (ordered the day one)

Update

My card was charged Saturday night, however still at processing on the order status. Hoping they ship out on Monday and I receive it by or before Friday. If that happens that's basically half the shipping time they quoted me. Ball is in your court apple.
