I didn’t. It has not bothered anything for me. Seems to only kick in when 100% charged for long periods of time.

I set mine at 55% - got it plugged in as usual - battery summary showing this (pic) - Is this correct? Says "Power Source: Power Adapter" - Battery not charging"

Yep, you got it! This should be a lot easier on your battery than 100% (even with Apple's Battery Health thing that keeps the cells exercised). Nice!

When I know I need to use my laptop away from the desk for a little bit - I'll set it to 80-85% - that way I can use it for an hour or two before it gets too low. But otherwise, I keep it at or around 55% just like you.

Perfect. Thanks. Yeah was wondering about changing it if headed out. sometimes I’m here all day and sometimes go out so will run it up to 80 then. Nice to be able to change on the fly. I’m thinking of getting a MacBook Air for taking out and keeping this one basically as the office computer connected to the externals so can just keep on 50% 24/7.

This is sad but oh so true. Lol. I see people I know with the Tesla app and their charging status and I ask to watch it while we eat. Lol.

We have 2 Teslas and a Tesla Solarroof with Powerwalls. A lot of batteries! After a while, you just forget about them and smile at all the money the batteries save you. :)

Several nice coworkers/bosses let me have access to their solar panel accounts online so I can watch the graphs and electricity generation. I check these frequently.

Yes, I love this stuff.

POWERWALLS!!!! Someday... Someday I will be able to get this. :)

The Powerwalls and solar dropped our summer power bill from $450/mo to under $50!!! We go days without buying power from PG&E

Battery can be replaced but it's super expensive and difficult. I think on the later models it requires a whole top end replacement. Outside of Apple, I don't think anyone else can do it easily.

Just wanted to let you know that I borrowed your quote and used it in another thread. I hope that's O.K. with you.
