If you're a HAM/MB fan it will definitely go down as Bottas' best race...
Poor Lando. He was looking good for 3rd ...
You have to laugh at Bottas taking Verstappen out indirectly but I’m sure some will think it’s deliberate. It’s just an unfortunate consequence of misjudging the grip. Can’t really penalise him as I doubt he wanted to crash out.
Will be interesting to see if Red Bull can get the car working properly again under the red flag. Hopefully their mechanics and engineers are better run their PR department lol. This is looking like an interesting year finally after so much predictability.
Alonso giving no quarter to Lewis.
Congrats to Occon for the win. Shades of Olivier Pants at Monaco 1996.
Hard to honestly call this one a "great" race considering Botas' mistake effectively took out Verstappen and did take out Leclerc, Norris, Perez and himself so at that point Lewis really had no competition who could touch him. But it was a very interesting race.
Not sure why Mercedes decided not to pit him with the rest of the field as even if he had come out mid-pack, he would have been able to take folks relatively quickly.
Also surprised the cars were not allowed to change off the Intermediates in the pits (I fast-forwarded through the Red Flag period).
It was solely Lewis' decision whether to pit or not, there's no radio contact on the formation lap.Not sure why Mercedes decided not to pit Lewis with the rest of the field as even if he had come out mid-pack, he would have been able to take folks relatively quickly.

With all that happened today, maybe it got lost that Russell got his first F1 points by finishing 9th. And also offered to sacrifice his race to help his teammate.
I do agree with Horner that the FIA needs to look at possible financial punishment for teams that cause a collision when there's a cost cap. Racing incident, yes. But Bottas' mistake has cost other teams a decent amount of their budgets today.
