I think the summer break has come at the right time for Lewis. That race absolutely drained him and was clearly struggling on the podium. He confirmed in the post race press conference he's been struggling with his health since he had covid last year and saw a doctor after today's race.

Very interesting race. Bottas taking out both RBR was probably not deliberate. But I’m sure Christian will see it different
Lewis the only car on the grid was weird. But if he’d pitted, he’d have been unable to get out of his box due to everyone else coming in.
Alonso played a blinder to support his team mate.
Max will be fuming for the next race.

Alonso schooling Lewis how you ’actually’ race. And Lewis moaning all the way round. The beginning of today’s race was like amateur hour though with Bottas and Stroll and then several unsafe releases in the pit lane.

And Max and Perez both will need another engine at some point now thanks to crashes, which means 10 place grid penalties and Mercedes is now allowed more wind tunnel time the RB because of rule changes, because they were second… so I expect Lewis to stomp it and yet again win the year. I hope not but I can’t see how he won’t, another boring result.

Ferrari are really that bitter.

It’s probably because he actually had to race for once in his life. Alonso not giving in to him like the younger guys do.
Are you just going to ignore he said he's struggling with his health all year and in at least a few races you can see he's not 100%? Or does your dislike for him get in the way?

I don’t believe it is affecting him that much because his racing hasn’t suffered. And dislike for him? Wow that’s judgmental from two posts I’ve made…
If he’s not fit enough to race he shouldn’t race, because he is a danger to everyone else and himself. I want to see that level of racing every race like between Lewis and Alonso, but with Max and Lando And Perez too. Not someone leading from second place by 30 seconds as to me that is not racing, that’s boring.

I can only keep up with it from BBC text updates and looking up videos on YouTube. Sucks not having the coverage on TV in a country where F1 has so much of its roots and bases.

Race sounds good though from a track that is usually quite dull

That’s only if you want to watch it live, channel 4’s coverage is pretty good but it is a few hours later.

Don't say Lewis doesn't drive his heart out; he does. But his age is obviously catching up to him; Covid or no Covid.

Russell is pure class and a gentlemen's driver. What he told Latiffi is pure class; can't teach that stuff; either you have it or you don't.

Max on the other hand is just a pure street thug, and I say that as a fan of his. But his reputation precedes him. Just ask Schumacher today on that pass. It is what it is, I guess.

It's hard to believe that English is Tsunoda's second language. That dude swearing would make even the most drunk sailor blush.

I think Bottas' days at MB are numbered. What was he thinking on that first turn. Why let Norris cut him off like that?

Also.

I'm no fan of HAM but keep booing for something that could have happened to anyone on the grid and I'll jump on his bandwagon very quickly. VER fans are killing me.

meh on RUS. Happy for him to have finally scored for Williams but I still think he's an ass for hitting BOT when he very clearly wasn't at fault and could have been seriously injured. What did he say to LAT?
